ALL AMERICAN (The CW) - Singer-actress JoJo will recur on the current season as Sabine, "a world famous recording artist who's been making music since she was 10 years old. In search of a new sound, she decides to collaborate with Layla (Greta Onieogou) on her next album, putting her trust in the up and coming young music producer. Sabine is a rare talent who knows what she wants, and has the name and reputation to make it happen." (Deadline.com)
MAID (Netflix) - Creator Molly Smith Metzler has signed a multi-year overall deal with the streaming service. There she'll develop new series projects via her Quiet Coyote banner. (Deadline.com)
NOT DEAD YET (ABC, New!) - Casey Johnson and David Windsor have scored a pilot order from the Alphabet for a single-camera comedy which "follows Nell Stevens, broke, newly single and feeling old, a self-described 40-something disaster, who works to restart the life and career she left behind 10 years ago. When she lands the only job she can find - writing obituaries - Nell starts getting life advice from an unlikely source." The project, which is based on "Confessions of a Forty-Something F**k Up" by Alexandra Potter, will also be executive produced by Wonderland Sound and Vision's McG, Mary Viola and Corey Marsh for 20th Television. REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS, (Bravo) - Co-star Garcelle Beauvais's Garcelle Beauvais Productions has inked a first-look development deal with NBCUniversal Television and Streaming Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED KAY OYEGUN PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Kay Oyegun has booked a pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a new drama which "follows five therapists in Philadelphia, who find unique ways to solve problems in their patients' lives while grappling with their own. Ellen Roman, the owner of the practice and a brilliant therapist, has her life shockingly turned upside down when she begins working with a sociopathic patient who may hold the key to the disappearance of her sister five years earlier." 20th Television is producing.
