B-LOVED/NEVER HAVE I EVER (HBO Max/Netflix) - Michael Cimino has booked roles on both projects. On the latter, Cimino will play Ethan, "a skater and new heartthrob at Sherman Oaks High." On the Peyton List-led former, about Bea (List), "a free-spirited teenage ghost who forms a special friendship with the new boy in town, Cole (Cimino), whose house she has been inhabiting for more than 100 years." CHANGELING, THE (Apple TV+) - The LaKeith Stanfield-led drama series has cast Malcolm Barrett as Patrice Green, "Apollo's best friend, ex-veteran and fellow book enthusiast"; Alexis Louder as Lillian Kagwa, "Apollo's secretive mother"; Amirah Vann as Kim Valentine, "Emma's sister and sole family member"; and Jared Abrahamson as Brian West, "a parole officer and Lillian Kagwa's husband." DEE TAKES SEOUL (Paramount+, New!) - Diana Snyder Ritter has sold a potential comedy to the streamer that "follows Dee Martinez, a twenty-something struggling choreographer who is about to give up on her dreams when she gets the opportunity of a lifetime - to become a choreographer for an up-and-coming girl group. There's just one catch... they're a K-pop band and the job requires Dee to move to South Korea. Now Dee, a Philly girl with the attitude to prove it, finds herself exploring, falling in love, and dancing her way through Seoul." Jenny Lee, Wendy Howard Goldberg and Nadine Schiff-Rosen are also on board to executive produce for CJ Entertainment and Paramount Television Studios (Deadline.com)
FATAL ATTRACTION (Paramount+) - Wanda De Jesus will recur on the film-turned-TV series as Marcella Leyva, "an accomplished lawyer and political animal, who is comfortable in her position as District Attorney. As Dan's (Joshua Jackson) boss, she has to at times be the bearer of bad news." (Deadline.com)
GODFATHER OF HARLEM (Epix) - Michael Raymond-James has been cast in the upcoming third season as Joe Colombo, who "represents the "new mob," forward-thinking, progressive, and tired of the old mob rules and regulations. He sets out to remake the mob in his own image: brash, brilliant, and able to work with the diverse players in the narcotics and prostitution rackets. He wants a true partnership with Bumpy Johnson, but when that becomes impossible, he will seek other allies in the competition for who will become the true "Godfather of Harlem."" (Deadline.com)
KIN (AMC+) - Production on the show's second season began last week in Dublin with Charlie Cox, Clare Dunne, Aidan Gillen, Sam Keeley, Emmett J. Scanlan, Maria Doyle Kennedy and Yasmin Seky returning. Additionally, Francis Magee has been upped to a series regular. (Variety.com)
UNTITLED OWEN HANSON PROJECT (Netflix, New!) - John Turner and Greg Whiteley are reportedly spearheading a new documentary series for the streamer about "USC football player turned drug kingpin Owen Hanson who was arrested by the FBI in 2015 and sentenced in 2017 for operating an empire that spanned the U.S., Latin America and Australia. Hanson began dealing recreational drugs and steroids to teammates in college during the early 2000s, ultimately building a violent empire. He was sentenced for more than 21 years in federal prison, Hanson was ordered to pay a $5M criminal forfeiture, which included $100K in gold coins, luxury vehicles, jewelry, vacation homes, a sailboat and interests in several businesses."
