1923 (Paramount+) - Peter Stormare, Tim Dekay, and Amelia Rico are the latest to recur on the Harrison Ford/Helen Mirren-led series. Stormare will play Lucca, "a weathered but wise sailor, tanned from decades on the ocean, his accent a soup of a thousand dialects"; with Dekay as Bob Strafford, "a Montana rancher who's anticipating an imminent wedding between his daughter and one of the Duttons"; and Rico as Issaxche, "a Crow woman hoping to reunite with her family." (Variety.com)
ANSWERS, THE (FX) - David Corenswet has scored the lead role on the drama pilot: "Christopher Skye, a movie star, is a man of contradictions. When we first meet him, we are so taken with his talent, charisma, and raw power, we absolutely believe he is one of the world's most eligible bachelors. However, the more we get to know Christopher, the more we see his wild neuroses and his deep despair. This is a man who, on the surface, has everything, but underneath feels empty." (Deadline.com)
BIG D, THE (USA Network) - The cable channel is reportedly on track to pick up the 10-part dating competition series, which was axed earlier this year by TBS as part of Warner Bros. Discovery's cost cutting moves. (Deadline.com)
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES OF MURDER AND MAYHEM (Hulu) - Christian Svensson will recur on the upcoming Mandy Patinkin/Violett Beane-led series as Andreas Windeler, "a physically intimidating and intellectual businessman who serves as an emissary to an elusive criminal figure." (Deadline.com)
CROSS (Amazon) - Ryan Eggold and Isaiah Mustafa will star opposite Aldis Hodge in the streamer's James Patterson series. Eggold will play Ed Ramsey, "whose humble Midwest roots are the core of his irresistible charm, but he's got elbows sharp enough to carve out space in the elite social and political circles of D.C. and New York. Ramsey is described as smooth, well-connected and devious; he also can be physically imposing when he needs to be and has some very dark secrets. While initially a fan of Cross, Ramsey soon becomes a formidable adversary." And Mustafa is John Sampson, "Alex's partner on the force and best friend of 30 years. Full of swagger and larger than life, he believes that Cross is at a crisis point and needs to seek professional help." (Deadline.com)
MISS SCARLET AND THE DUKE (PBS) - Production has begun on a fourth season of the series, in advance of its season three launch on January 8. (Deadline.com)
