ALL STARS (Amazon, New!) - Reese Witherspoon is set to star and executive produce a new half-hour comedy series at the streamer which "follows a former cheerleader from Daytona Beach (Witherspoon) who cons her way across the pond to teach cheerleading at a school in coastal England and has to show a ragtag group of students - and herself - how to be All Stars." Writer/director Aline Brosh McKenna is behind the project, which has a big two-season straight-to-series order. Lean Machine's McKenna and Hello Sunshine's Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
CHASE, THE (NBC, New!) - Azie Tesfai has sold a new drama to the network in which "when undercover CIA agent Robert falls for his target, Katherine, everything changes. Their Bonnie & Clyde escape goes sideways when they're captured by the American government and forced to use their opposing assets and skill set to find some of the most wanted criminals in the world, all while learning the other isn't who they thought." Universal Television is producing. (Deadline.com)
DECAMERON, THE (Netflix) - The soapy period dramedy has cast Tony Hale as Sirisco, "the affable, ill-prepared, eager-to-please steward of Villa Santa"; Zosia Mamet as Pampinea, "soon-to-be the lady of the villa, Pampinea is full of hope and absolutely lacking in self-awareness"; Tanya Reynolds as Licisca, "an obedient yet unpredictable servant with a heart of bronze, Licisca's life has been defined by her hard work, thick skin, and devotion to the family she serves"; Amar Chadha-Patel as Dioneo, "a cocksure physician whose profession puts him in the frustrating limbo between upper and lower classes"; Leila Farzad as Stratilia, "intuitive, wise, steady, Stratilia is the stalwart backbone of Villa Santa"; Lou Gala as Neifile, "god-fearing and highly libidinous, Neifile is a woman of paradoxes"; Karan Gill as Panfilo, "charming and cunning, Panfilo is the son of a prominent political family in Florence and a formidable presence at the villa"; Saoirse-Monica Jackson as Misia, "the codependent servant of Pampinea, Misia adores her demanding master and derives much self-worth from pleasing her"; Douggie McMeekin as Tindaro, "a rich noble from a prominent family"; and Jessica Plummer as Filomena, "a spoiled oddball with a chip on her shoulder, and the last surviving child of her noble family." FBOY ISLAND/FINDING MAGIC MIKE/GARCIAS, THE/HEAD OF THE CLASS/LEGENDARY/MADE FOR LOVE/RAISED BY WOLVES/TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE, THE (HBO/HBO Max) - The eight aforementioned series are the latest to be pulled from HBO Max as part of Warner. Bros Discovery's "restructuring and transformation initiatives." Said news spells the end of "Finding Magic Mike" and "The Garcias" while the other six had previously been reported as canceled.
