BACK ON THE RECORD WITH BOB COSTAS (HBO) - The pay channel has opted not to proceed with a third season of the series. "Bob Costas and his team have delivered insightful and quality sports programming with 'Back on the Record,' and we are proud of its multiple Sports Emmy nominations," HBO spokesperson said in a statement to the publication. "Bob is an important part of HBO Sports' history and Back on the Record was an excellent chapter in that story." (Deadline.com)
INSIDE THE WORLD'S TOUGHEST FORCES (Netflix, New!) - Emporium Productions has landed a new series at the streamer in the mold of its longtime staple "Inside the World's Toughest Prisons." Producers have "gained access to special military forces around the world for the show, which will be anchored by a team of presenters." It is currently in post-production. No specific auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
