1883: THE BASS REEVES STORY (Paramount+) - Barry Pepper is the latest addition to the David Oyelowo-led limited series as Esau Pierce, "the leader of the 1st Cherokee Mounted Rifles and a battle tested warrior himself." (Variety.com)
ARCHIE & PETE (FOX, New!) - Amy Holden Jones and Matt Nix are set to team for a new drama at the network which "follows an explosive, rule-breaking, fearless female detective with no filter who enlists the help of a polite and gentle brainiac who studies the biology of evil to solve cases for the Los Angeles Violent Crimes Unit." Jones is writing the script, which is being developed under the a script-to-series model, and will executive produce alongside Nix for FOX Entertainment. (THR.com)
DOC - IN YOUR HANDS (FOX, New!) - Barbie Kligman is spearheading a domestic take on the Italian drama at the network, which "will follow hard-charging Chief of Internal & Family Medicine Dr. Amy Elias, who suffers a brain injury during a car accident and loses her memory of the last eight years. Forced to re-acclimate to the present - with no recollection of a tragedy in her personal life and bereft of the medical knowledge she's accrued over this time she must return to being an intern and somehow rebuild her life from the fractured pieces which remain." 3 Arts Entertainment, Lux Vide, Sony Pictures Television and FOX Entertainment are behind the project, which has scored a script-to-series commitment. Hank Steinberg and Erwin Stoff will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)

GOTHAM KNIGHTS (The CW) - Veronica Cartwright will recur on the upcoming drama as Eunice Harmon, who "may seem every bit the sweet old lady living out her twilight years in a nursing home. But that grandmotherly exterior masks a much darker side, one that harbors sinister secrets and has ties to an evil that has plagued Gotham for over a century." (Deadline.com)
GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY (NBC) - The network has opened a writers' room for the proposed drama from Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs, which "follows four members of a suburban garden club, all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom." Casey Kyber is also executive producing for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
HIP (ABC) - Daniel Sunjata has scored a role on the Kaitlin Olson-led drama pilot, which "centers on Morgan (Olson), a single mom with three kids and an exceptional mind who helps solve an unsolvable crime when she rearranges some evidence during her shift as a cleaner for the police department. When they discover she has a knack for putting things in order because of her high intellectual potential she is brought on as a consultant to work with a by-the-book seasoned detective, Karadec (Sunjata), and together they form an unusual and unstoppable team." HUNTING PARTY, THE (NBC) - The network has likewise opened a writers' room for J.J. Bailey's proposed drama, which "revolves around a small team of investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers our country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that's not supposed to exist." Jake Coburn also executive produces for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
HURT UNIT, THE (ABC) - Augustus Prew is the latest to be cast in the medical drama pilot as Gus, "a member of the Hurt Unit team, who has just been accepted into medical school and has his sights set on becoming a surgeon. When faced with the life-and-death stakes that come with being a member of the Hurt Unit, Gus must decide whether he is truly cut out for this work or whether it's time to call it quits." (Deadline.com)
JENNY IS A WEAPON (FOX) - The network has commissioned a mini writers' room for Marc Cherry and Joshua Michael Stern's proposed drama which follows the story of a sheltered Maryland housewife who, at the moment her marriage falls apart, discovers she has special psychic powers and is recruited by a secret government agency where she will have to juggle her broken family and saving the world. LIVE WITH KELLY AND RYAN (Syndication) - Ryan Seacrest has announced his exit from the series after six seasons. Mark Consuelos, husband of Kelly Ripa, will take over the series, which will be rebranded as "Live with Kelly and Mark." "Working alongside Kelly over the past six years has been a dream job and one of the highlights of my career. She has been an amazing partner, friend, and confidant, and although we will always be a part of each other's lives, I will miss our mornings together," said Seacrest. "I also want to thank Michael Gelman and the entire staff and crew - we've made memories to last a lifetime, met some of the most incredible people and had the warmest welcome into the homes of so many viewers across America. It's been a memorable ride and now I'm excited to pass the baton to Kelly's 'real' husband, Mark." (Deadline.com)
METROPOLIS (Apple TV+) - Lindy Booth is set to star opposite Briana Middleton in the book-turned-film-turned-TV series. She'll play Maria, one of the lead characters in the movie. (Deadline.com)
NEVER GAME, THE (CBS) - Hilary Weisman Graham has been tapped of co-showrunner of the upcoming Justin Hartley-led drama series alongside creator Ben H. Winters. (Deadline.com)
STARSKY & HUTCH (FOX, New!) - Sam Sklaver and Elizabeth Peterson are spearheading a gender-flipped reboot of the 1970s cop show at the network which "will center on two female detectives, Sasha Starsky and Nicole Hutchinson. They solve crimes in the offbeat town of Desert City while staying true to their friendship, their awesomeness, and somehow also trying to unravel the mystery behind who sent their fathers to prison 15 years ago for a crime they didn't commit." Sony Pictures Television and FOX Entertainment are behind the project, which is also being developed under the a script-to-series model. (THR.com)
