CASA GRANDE (Freevee, New!) - The streamer has landed the U.S. rights to ESX Entertainment's bilingual limited series "that follows the tales of California's hardworking, often undocumented migrant workforce, as well as the wealthy landowners in Northern California." Lauren Swickard and Ali Afshar are behind the five-episode series, due on May 1, which was directed by Gabriela Tagliavini and stars John Pyper-Ferguson, Christina Moore, Madison Lawlor, Karen Bethzabe, Javier Bolaños, Raquel Dominguez, James Marsters, Kate Mansi, Daniel Edward Mora, Loren Escandon and Ali Afshar. Other executive producers include Ava Rettke and Daniel Aspromonte. (Variety.com)
DANCING WITH THE STARS (Disney+) - Julianne Hough will join Alfonso Ribeiro as co-host of the upcoming 32nd season. She replaces Tyra Banks, who bowed out of the series last week. (Variety.com)
HAN RIVER POLICE (Disney+, New!) - Kwon Sang-woo and Kim Hee-won will topline an action comedy series for the streamer which stars the former as Han Dujin, "the hot-tempered sergeant of the Han River Police Force who holds back for nobody, while Kim plays Lee Chunseok, a laid-back lieutenant with the exact opposite personality. Stuck together on patrol of Seoul's Han River, the two officers are faced with emergency situations ranging from terrorism to everyday accidents and other incidents requiring emergency assistance - a premise that suggests all of the action, humor and offbeat crime-solving of the classic buddy cop genre." Shin Hyeon-seung, Lee Sang-yi and Bae Da-bin also star. No other auspices were given. (THR.com)
HOTEL COCAINE (MGM+) - Michael Chiklis is set to star alongside Danny Pino in the upcoming crime thriller as Agent Zulio "who will stop at nothing to shut down the drug trade, even if it means using innocent civilians to accomplish his ends." (Deadline.com)
SHARP OBJECTS (HBO) - Marti Noxon has signed a two-year exclusive first-look deal with Entertainment One for television and new media. (Deadline.com)
ST. DENIS MEDICAL (NBC) - Allison Tolman is the latest to board the comedy pilot as Alex, "the supervising nurse in St. Denis' emergency department who is dedicated to providing excellent care to her patients, often sacrificing her personal life to maintain her high standards." (Variety.com)
STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW (Disney+) - Oscar-winning directing duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert have helmed an episode of the upcoming "Star Wars" series. (Variety.com)
THOSE ABOUT TO DIE (Peacock) - The epic gladiator drama has cast Iwan Rheon as "ambitious crime boss Tenax" (replacing Lorenzo Richelmy); Liraz Charhi as Berenice, "queen of the conquered Judea's held captive in Rome"; Johannes Haukur Johannesson as "imposing Norse gladiator Viggo"; Rupert Penry-Jones as Marsus, "a wealthy patrician and retired general who desire's the throne"; Eneko Sagardoy, Pepe Barroso and Gonçalo Almeida as "the Corsi brothers"; Kyshan Wilson as "female gladiator in training Aura"; and Alicia Edogamhe as "a slave who is sold to Marsus and Antonia (Gabriella Pession)."
