TBS CELEBRATES 350TH EPISODE OF "AMERICAN DAD!" WITH SOCIAL IMPACT CAMPAIGN.
TRIXIE MATTEL AND TRINITY THE TUCK HEADLINE #AMERICANDRAG SUPPORTING LGBTQ COMMUNITY
To celebrate tonight's 350th episode of "American Dad!," TBS is kicking off #AmericanDrag a new social impact campaign focusing on the series' fan-favorite, gender-fluid character Roger. Highlighting Roger as a drag icon, TBS has joined forces with iconic drag queens, Trixie Mattel and Trinity the Tuck, to create a custom video spot available on TBS' social media platforms. For every quote-tweet of the video using the hashtag #AmericanDrag, TBS will donate $1 to The Trevor Project, a leader in suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ young people. Roger is an alien who has been hiding out with the Smith family for 18 years. He frequently dresses in drag to disguise himself, and while doing so, exposes the Smiths to outlandish experiences and hilarious adventures. "American Dad!" currently in its 18th season airs Mondays at 10pm ET/PT on TBS, featuring the voices of Seth MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, Jeff Fischer, Dee Bradley Baker, and Patrick Stewart, along with special guests, Pete Davidson, Anjelica Huston, Jason Alexander, Jaleel White, Chris Sullivan, Ann Dowd, Amy Sedaris, Alan Tudyk, Alyson Hannigan and Simon Helberg.
More about "American Dad!"
"American Dad!" centers on super patriotic CIA agent Stan Smith (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) and the misadventures of his unconventional family in Langley Falls, VA. Stan applies the same drastic measures used in his job at the CIA to his home life, where Stan's blissfully unaware wife, Francine (Wendy Schaal), has an unfaltering loyalty that makes her blind to his unabashed arrogance. His left-wing activist daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), however, doesn't let him off so easily and knows just how to push her father's buttons, unlike her dopey, well-intentioned husband Jeff (Jeff Fischer) who doesn't know much of anything. Son Steve (Scott Grimes) is a geeky-yet-confident kid who spends his time playing video games and obsessing about the opposite sex. The Smith cabinet is rounded out by two rather unconventional members: Roger (MacFarlane), a sassy, sarcastic and routinely inappropriate space alien, and Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker), an attention-starved goldfish with the brain of a German Olympic skier
Disclaimer: For every quote tweet of this original post with #AmericanDrag from 5/8/23 - 5/12/23, TBS will donate $1, up to $20,000, to The Trevor Project. Learn more about The Trevor Project at TheTrevorProject.org.
