APPLES NEVER FALL (Peacock) - The Liane Moriarty adaptation has cast the following actors to recur: Katrina Lenk as Lucia Fortino; Timm Sharp as Monty Fortino; Nate Mann as Simon Barrington; Paula Andrea Placido as Gina Solis; Pooja Shah as Indira Chaundry; and Quentin Plair as Tyler Cruz. No other character details were given. (Variety.com)
EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION (ABC) - The Alphabet is looking to revive the reality franchise with Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, "who created global lifestyle brand The Home Edit." The series originally ran from 2003-2012 with a reboot on HGTV in 2020. Shyam Balsé, Sharon Levy, D.J. Nurre, Michael Heyerman, Reese Witherspoon, Sara Rea, Cassie Lambert Scalettar and Molly Sims are the executive producers for Endemol Shine North America and Hello Sunshine in association with Walt Disney Television Alternative. GROWN-ISH (Freeform) - Kelly Rowland, Omarion, Latto and NLE Choppa will join the previously announced Lil Yachty, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals as guest stars on the upcoming season. Rowland will play Edie, "a tenured professor who serves as the head of the psychology department at Cal U"; with Latto as Sloane, "a wine rep who counts Doug as a client"; and Omarion and NLE Choppa as themselves. HYSTERIA! (Peacock) - The Julie Bowen/Anna Camp-led series has "shut down production in Atlanta for the remainder of the WGA writers strike." (Deadline.com)
PERSON, PLACE OR THING (Syndication, New!) - Melissa Peterman will host a new syndication game show from Fox First Run in which "players ask "yes" or "no" questions to correctly determine the identity of a person, place, or thing." Jeff Proctor and Paul Franklin are behind the format, which aired a four-week test run last summer. Tracy Verna and David Hurwitz will also executive produce alongside said trio. The first of 180 episodes are due this fall on stations covering 89% of the U.S. (Deadline.com)
UNCOUPLED (Showtime) - Production on the show's second season, due to start in July, has been delayed due to the WGA strike. (Deadline.com, 6/3)
VICE (Showtime) - The show's May 28 episode, entitled "The Gitmo Candidate & Chipping Away," was quietly pulled and replaced with repeat programming. Said installment was detailed as follows: "Seb Walker investigates allegations from former Guantanamo Bay detainees that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis witnessed acts condemned by the United Nations as torture during his past service at the controversial detention camp as a Navy JAG officer." (THR.com, 6/4)
