Starz Confirms Additional Casting for "Outlander: Blood of My Blood"
Joining the cast in a role "Outlander" fans will recognize from early seasons is Sally Messham as Mrs. Fitz, Ellen's maid at Castle Leoch and Murtagh's aunt.

STARZ CONFIRMS ADDITIONAL CASTING FOR "OUTLANDER: BLOOD OF MY BLOOD"

The "Outlander" Prequel Series Welcomes Sally Messham, Terence Rae, Sadhbh Malin, Ailsa Davidson, Annabelle Dowler and Harry Eaton to the Cast

Santa Monica, Calif. - April 24, 2024 - STARZ continues to round out the cast for "Outlander: Blood of My Blood," announcing today additional casting for several roles in the highly anticipated prequel series. Joining the cast in a role "Outlander" fans will recognize from early seasons is Sally Messham ("A Small Light," "The Hunt For Raoul Moat") as "Mrs. Fitz," Ellen's maid at Castle Leoch and Murtagh's aunt. Terence Rae ("The Cyclops," Black Dog ) will be playing another role familiar to fans of the flagship series, "Arch Bug," who's working as a bodyguard to Clan Grant; Sadhbh Malin ("Conversations with Friends," Love Rosie ) will be playing another fan-favorite character, "Jocasta Cameron," the feisty youngest child of the MacKenzie clan; and Ailsa Davidson ("Heathers," "Halo") will be playing her sister "Janet MacKenzie," the fifth (and final) MacKenzie sibling. Meanwhile, in the 20th century, Annabelle Dowler ("The Reckoning," "It Takes Two") joins the cast as "Lizbeth," Julia's boss at the War Department; and Harry Eaton ("Extraordinary," "Eastenders") as "Private Charlton," Henry Beauchamp's fellow soldier and friend.

"Outlander: Blood of My Blood" will explore the lives and relationship of Claire's parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Jamie's parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy). The series will center on these two parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie's parents in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and Claire's parents in WWI England. Production on the 10-episode season is underway in Scotland.

"Outlander," which will celebrate its 10th anniversary this summer, will be airing the back eight episodes of its seventh season this November. Production recently began on the 10-episode eighth season, which will be the final television season of the series.

Matthew B Roberts will serve as showrunner and executive producer on both series. Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis will also executive produce. Moore and Davis developed "Outlander" for television, under their production banner Tall Ship Productions. Story Mining & Supply Company will also executive produce, and Diana Gabaldon will serve as a consulting producer. "Outlander: Blood of My Blood" is produced by Sony Pictures Television. The series will be available across all STARZ platforms in the U.S. and Canada.

The "Outlander" television series is inspired by Diana Gabaldon's international best-selling books, which have sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide, with all nine of the books gracing the New York Times best-seller list. The "Outlander" television series has become a worldwide success with audiences, spanning the genres of history, science fiction, romance and adventure in one amazing tale.

Sally Messham

"Mrs. Fitz"

Sally Messham can be seen opposite Liev Schreiber, Joe Cole and Bel Powley in acclaimed series "A Small Light." She also stars as one of the leads in the new drama "The Hunt For Raoul Moat." Previously, Messham starred as one of the leads in the big screen adaptation of Our Ladies. Other feature film credits include Aftersun, Artemis Fowl and Allied. She co-starred with Anna Taylor-Joy and Romola Garai in the TV mini-series "The Miniaturist."

Terence Rae

"Arch Bug"

Terence Rae is most known for his work onstage. His theatre credits include "The Cyclops" (National Theatre/CAST Doncaster); "A War Of Two Halves" (Edinburgh Fringe Festival); "All the Joy That You Can Wish" (Shakespeare North Playhouse); "59 Minutes To Save Christmas" (The Crucible); "The Magician" (Slung Low); "A Town Called Christmas" (The Crucible, Gala Durham), "The Revengers/The Princess and the Sprout" (Wrongsemble); "Romeo and Juliet" (Bard In The Botanics); "Midsummer Night's Showcase" (Front Room Productions); "Birds Nest Billy" and "Football Freddie" (Fidget Theatre); "Tabby McTat" (Freckle Productions); and "Three Sisters" and "Walk a Mile" (Cumbernauld Theatre).

Rae recently filmed Black Dog for Atheneum Productions and 27 Ten Productions. His radio credits include "Black Holes and Hot Chocolate," "Silenced Percussion," "Out on Top," and "Nowhere."

Rae trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Sadhbh Malin

"Jocasta Cameron"

Sadhbh Malin is a graduate from The Lir Academy's BA Acting. Her play "In Heat" debuted at this year's Dublin Fringe Festival, produced by Philomena Productions. Recent theatre credits include "Portia Coughlan" (Almeida Theatre); "Lights Out" (Four Rivers Theatre); "Steward of Christendom" (Gate Theatre, Dublin) and "Dubliners" (Corn Exchange). She made her feature film debut in Love Rosie with Lily Collins, Sam Claflin, Jaime Winston and Suki Waterhouse in 2014. She was recently seen in "Conversations with Friends," the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel.

Ailsa Davidson

Ailsa Davidson holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre from Guildford School of Acting. Her recent theatre credits include: "Dracula: Mina's Reckoning" (National Theatre of Scotland), "Veronica Sawyer" in "Heathers the Musical" (The Other Palace, Heathers the Musical Pro-Shot), "Lipsync" (Summerhall, Edinburgh Festival Fringe), "Judith" in "Elegies for Angels Punks and Raging Queens" (Union Theatre), "Miss Lynch"/1st "Rizzo"/2nd "Jan" in "Grease" (UK & International Tour), "Peaches Americana" (Theatre Royal Stratford East), and "Sarah Our House" (Union Theatre).Her recent television credits include "Halo."

Annabelle Dowler

"Lizbeth"

Annabelle Dowler can be currently seen in episode four of "The Reckoning" and episode three of "The Suspect." Additional television credits include "Brexit- The Uncivil War," "Mother's Day," "Emmerdale," and "Sense8." Film credits include Your Christmas or Mine, Another Mother's Son, and The Huntsman. She has also played the role "Kristy" for over 20 years on BBC Radio 4's "The Archers."

Dowler is best known for playing the lead role of "May" in the video game "It Takes Two" which lead the nominations of the NAVGTR Awards with 19 nominations, including 'Outstanding Performance in a Comedy, Lead' for Dowler and 'Game Of The Year,' as well as joint top nominations for BAFTA Games including 'Best Game.' "It Takes Two" has also won numerous awards including DICE Awards 'Game of the Year' and The Game Awards 'Game of the Year.'

Harry Eaton

"Private Charlton"

Harry Eaton is a 20-year-old actor from Romford, Essex. He started acting in his late teens. Eaton has a very versatile repertoire and due to his youthful looks, brings maturity to roles much younger than his actual age. Eaton was recently featured in the 2023 Samsung Christmas commercial. Other credits include, "Extraordinary," "Eastenders" and "Lockwood & Co." Eaton also made several appearances in seasons one and two of "Heartstopper." Eaton's passions are photography and sports, especially football and wrestling.
