"La Liberacion" Will Premiere Exclusively on Prime Video on January 17

Created and directed by Alejandra Márquez Abella, produced in collaboration with Exile and Fifth Season, and with a cast led by Ilse Salas, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Johana Murillo, Dolores Heredia, Ofelia Medina and Diego Boneta, the Prime Video original series will be available in more than 240 countries and territories.

After its world premiere at the Guadalajara International Film Festival in Los Angeles, the first key art and the release date on Prime Video are revealed.

MEXICO CITY - NOVEMBER 4, 2024 - Prime Video revealed the teaser art and premiere date for La Liberación, a unique series created and directed by noted filmmaker Alejandra Márquez Abella - known for films such as El Norte Sobre el Vacío and A Millones de Kilómetros - premiering January 17 on Prime Video.

La Liberación is a courageous testament to the visionary direction of Alejandra Márquez Abella, who is accompanied by a stellar cast led by Ilse Salas, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Johanna Murillo, Dolores Heredia, Ofelia Medina, and Diego Boneta. The series, made up of seven episodes that will be available from its premiere, addresses the story of three women who join forces to prevent an allegation of sexual harassment against a renowned film director from being made public. This controversial mission will take them to the doors of a group that will make them embark on a fantastic journey inside themselves: to a medieval village where their patriarchal wounds are represented.

Imbued with black humor and fantastic elements, La Liberación is a story about brave women who, in a constantly changing world, seek their place and their voice. It is a deep and precise reflection on the post #MeToo world.
