JAMIE FOXX AND FOX ENTERTAINMENT STUDIOS ANNOUNCE MULTIYEAR FIRST-LOOK SCRIPTED AND UNSCRIPTED DEAL
New Agreement Through Foxxhole Productions Builds on Oscar-Winning Actor's
Years-Long Creative Partnership with FOX Entertainment
Deal Gives FOX Exclusive Rights to Foxx's Unscripted Projects
Academy Award-winning actor, comedian and producer Jamie Foxx, along with his Foxxhole Productions, has entered into a multiyear first-look agreement with FOX Entertainment Studios (FES). Under this partnership, Foxx will serve as executive producer and content originator for scripted television programming across comedy, drama and animation genres, for which FES will have first-look. The agreement also gives FES exclusive rights to Foxx's projects and producing services in the unscripted space.
With a slate of scripted and unscripted concepts already in progress, Foxx and his team will begin developing projects immediately. This expansive deal builds on Foxx's long-standing relationship with FOX, highlighted by the interactive music game show Beat Shazam, which he co-hosts with his daughter Corinne Foxx, and the heart-pounding police procedural Alert: Missing Persons Unit, which he executive produces.
"We are ready and excited to kick-start this very promising new creative partnership with Jamie as we build on FOX's longtime association with him -- initiated by our CEO Rob Wade and network president Michael Thorn," said Fernando Szew, President and Head of FOX Entertainment Studios. "Jamie is a renowned multifaceted talent, so as a studio, we want to support his tremendous creativity with access to the full scope of our genres, formats and brands. Together we will deliver unexpected, unforgettable content to audiences everywhere. At FOX Entertainment Studios we are expanding our reach and portfolio, and this is a keystone creative partnership as we build."
Jamie Foxx's relationship with the FOX network dates back to his breakout role on the sketch comedy series In Living Color, on which he starred from 1991 to 1994. This success led to The Jamie Foxx Show, further establishing him as a prominent figure in television.
Foxx's portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 biographical film Ray earned him the Academy Award for Best Actor. He has also received accolades for roles in films such as Collateral (2004), Django Unchained (2012), and Just Mercy (2019). In addition to his acting career, Foxx is a Grammy Award-winning musician, known for hits like "Blame It" and "Unpredictable."
Foxx is repped by CAA, LBI Entertainment, Johnson Slewitt, Shapiro, Kole, and Rogers & Cowan PMK.
