AFTER MIDNIGHT (CBS) - The Eye is canceling the late-night series after two seasons. "Hosting After Midnight has genuinely been the experience of a lifetime, and I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity to be part of this incredible journey," host Taylor Tomlinson said. Though it was an extremely tough decision, I knew I had to return to my first passion and return to stand-up touring full-time. I appreciate CBS, Stephen Colbert, the producers, and the entire After Midnight staff and crew for all the love, support, and unforgettable memories." New episodes will continue through June after which the network will stop programming its 12:30am time period. (Deadline.com, 3/26)
AGE OF ATTRACTION (Netflix, New!) - The streamer has commissioned a new dating format from Velvet Hammer Media: "In the series, age is thrown out the window when singles search for their soulmates, per the logline. Is love truly ageless, or will the years come between them?" Sam Dean and David Friedman are the showrunners with Jennifer O'Connell and Rebecca Quinn as executive producers and Nick Alarcon as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com, 3/26)
BLACK WIDOW (Hulu, New!) - Emmy Rossum is in talks to star in a new drama loosely inspired by the 1987 movie for the streamer: "In the Hulu series, an FBI agent - the role Rossum is poised to play - uses the secrets from a female serial killer's past to try and find her." Liz Meriwether is behind the project, which has a series order. Both would executive produce alongside Sara Moskowitz and original screenwriter Ron Bass for 20th Television, Composition 8, and Searchlight Television. (Deadline.com, 3/24)
CITADEL/CITADEL: DIANA/CITADEL: HONEY BUNNY (Amazon) - Amazon MGM Studios is pushing the show "from a planned fall 2025 release to a spring 2026 debut." CRYSTAL LAKE (Peacock) - Linda Cardellini is set to star as Pamela Voorhees in the long-in-the-works prequel series at the streamer. DAYS OF OUR LIVES (Peacock) - Co-executive producer Janet Drucker has announced her retirement from the series after four decades. Senior producer Noel Maxam will assume said role after her exit on May 2. (Deadline.com, 3/28)
DEALER, THE (Apple TV+, New!) - Oscar winner Jessica Chastain and Oscar nominee Adam Driver are set to team for a new project at the streamer which has received a straight-to-series order: "The Dealer is described as a biting exploration of power, class, seduction and culture set inside the glittering world of the high-end art market, told through the eyes of an aspiring super gallerist, played by Jessica Chastain, and the tangled relationship with her most gifted and unnerving artist, played by Adam Driver." Writer Lucas Hnath and director Sam Gold are behind the project with Sarah Lunnie, Michael Ellenberg, Lindsey Springer, Kelly Carmichael, and Alan Poul also executive producing alongside Chastain and Driver for Media Res. Arianna Anderson will serve as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com, 3/25)
DEXTER: RESURRECTION (Showtime) - Emmy winners John Lithgow and Jimmy Smits will reprise their "Dexter" roles of Arthur Miller (aka the Trinity Killer) and Miguel Prado on the latest sequel series. Nick Santucci played a young Miguel Prado on the prequel series "Original Sin." (Deadline.com, 3/24)
DIFFERENT WORLD SEQUEL SERIES, A (Netflix) - The streamer has ordered the follow-up series to pilot, eying a June shoot in Atlanta. Felicia Pride is behind the project with Debbie Allen, Mandy Summers, Tom Werner, Gina Prince-Bythewood and Reggie Bythewood also among the executive producers. HARRY POTTER LIVE-ACTION SERIES (HBO) - Nick Frost is on track to star as Rubeus Hagrid in the much-ballyhooed series: "Hagrid is wizarding school Hogwarts' warm and friendly gamekeeper and groundskeeper who eventually becomes the Care of Magical Creatures professor. The character was portrayed by Robbie Coltrane in all eight Harry Potter films." He would presumably join the previously reported John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, and Paapa Essiedu. (Deadline.com, 3/25)

SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND (AMC, New!) - Jennine Capó Crucet has sold a new drama to the network based on her novel: "The novel follows failed Pitbull impersonator Ismael Reyes - you can call him Izzy - who might not be the Scarface type, but why should that keep him from trying? Growing up in Miami has shaped him into someone who dreams of being the King of the 305, with the money, power, and respect he assumes comes with it. After finding himself at the mercy of a cease-and-desist letter from Pitbull's legal team and living in his aunt's garage, Izzy embarks on an absurd quest to turn himself into a modern-day Tony Montana."
