Iconic NYC Establishments and Events, Including the Empire State Building, Citi Field, The Brooklyn Half Marathon, PopUp Bagels and More, Celebrate the Highly Anticipated Second Season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, Debuting Sunday, May 4 on AMC and AMC+

AMC Networks announced today The Walking Dead: Dead City takeover in New York City from Sunday, April 27 - Wednesday, April 30, ahead of the highly anticipated season two premiere of the series set in a post-apocalyptic Manhattan on Sunday, May 4 at 9:00pm ET on AMC and AMC+. AMC is partnering with iconic NYC establishments and events, including the Empire State Building, Citi Field, the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon, PopUp Bagels and more, featuring merchandise giveaways and the show's iconic Walkers.

Said Kim Granito, chief marketing officer for AMC Networks: "New York City is the ultimate backdrop for the return of these fan-favorite characters, and the perfect place to deliver unique 'only in NY' moments for Dead City's massive fandom. Sunday, April 27

· NYCRUNSBrooklyn Experience Half Marathon (7:00 AM; Prospect Park)
· Walkers will be surprising runners and fans at the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon, perplexing the public during the race.
· AMC Networks to host a post-run activation with premium giveaways and photo opportunity for fans in Prospect Park

Monday, April 28

· Rooftop Films Special Advance Screening & Q&A (7:30 PM; Industry City, 33 35th Street, Brooklyn, NY)
· In partnership with Rooftop Films, the evening will feature an advance screening of the Season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead City, followed by a Q&A with the cast and executive producers, moderated by Entertainment Weekly's Dalton Ross

Tuesday, April 29

· Walker Takeovers & Empire State Building - April 29 (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM)

Walkers to takeover:
· Penn Station, where issues of the New York Post with a TWD: Dead City cover will be handed out
· PopUp Bagels, where the first 200 customers can pick-up a complimentary PopUp Bagels three-pack (370 7th Ave)
· AMC Networks Office, visiting employees as they enjoy their PopUp bagels (11 Pennsylvania Plaza)
· Empire State Building, meeting up with TWD: Dead City cast and executive producers (20 W 34th St)
· Radio City Music Hall, stopping by for a photo opportunity (1260 6th Ave)

· The Walking Dead: Dead City Night at Citi Field (7:10 PM; Citi Field)
· The Walking Dead: Dead City will take over Citi Field for Dead City Night at the New York Mets game where they will be playing the Arizona Diamondbacks.
· Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan will throw out the first pitch.
· During batting practice in advance of the game, Mets players will use a replica bat of Lucille to hit balls.
· Exclusive merch will be given away and a horde of walkers will be in the crowd taking photos with fans.
· Photo opportunities will be available

Wednesday, April 30

· Paley Center Dead City Screening and Q&A (6:30 PM; 25 W 52nd St)
· In partnership with Paley Center for Media, the evening will consist of a red carpet, advance screening of the Season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead City, followed by a Q&A with the cast and executive producers, moderated by The Hollywood Reporter's Josh Wigler.

About The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2

The Walking Dead: Dead City follows the popular Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland. In season two, in the growing war for control of Manhattan, Maggie and Negan find themselves trapped on opposite sides. As their paths intertwine, they come to see that the way out for both is more complicated and harrowing than they ever imagined. The series also stars Gaius Charles, Ċ½eljko Ivanek, Mahina Anne Marie Napoleon, Lisa Emery, Logan Kim, Dascha Polanco, Kim Coates, amongst others.
