KERRY CONDON JOINS NETFLIX'S SERIES ADAPTATION OF "THE GOD OF THE WOODS"

· Today, Netflix announced that BAFTA winner and Academy Award nominee Kerry Condon (Train Dreams, F1) will star in The God of the Woods, a new series adaptation of the New York Times' bestselling novel by Liz Moore.

· From executive producers and co-showrunners Liz Hannah (The Girl from Plainville, Mindhunter, The Post) and Liz Moore (Long Bright River), The God of the Woods is a multi-generational drama series set in the Adirondacks, exploring the Van Laar family's dark secrets, class tensions, and the mysteries surrounding the disappearance of 13 year old Barbara Van Laar from her family's summer camp - in the wake of an earlier family tragedy that may be related. As the past and present collide, the Van Laars' wealth and influence unravel, revealing the damaging consequences of privilege and the abuse of power.

· Kerry Condon joins as "Alice Van Laar" - Hardened by the grief of a past family tragedy and trapped in a contemptuous marriage, Alice is forced to face the unimaginable when her 13-year-old daughter goes missing. (Series Regular)

· Bio: Last year, Condon starred in two Academy Award-nominated "Best Picture" films -- Apple/WB's smash hit F1, and the critically acclaimed indie feature TRAIN DREAMS. Condon delivered an award-winning performance in Martin McDonough's THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN, which was recognized with a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and was nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Motion Picture. Condon won Best Supporting Actress at the 2023 BAFTAs and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Upcoming, Condon co-stars alongside Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott in Focus Features' PRESSURE, adapted from David Haig's 2014 stage play. The film will release on Friday, May 29.
