First-Look Images Released
NEW YORK, NY - May 26, 2026 - Acorn TV, the leading streaming service for brilliant mysteries and suspense-driven dramas, announced that production is underway in Ireland on the second season of its hit series Irish Blood, with Executive Producer and Star Alicia Silverstone (Clueless, Bugonia) reprising her role as Fiona Fox. First-look images from season two, which consists of six, hour-long episodes and is filming in and around Dublin, were also released. Irish Blood first debuted last summer and became the #1 series in Acorn TV history in subscriber acquisition.
The news comes as Acorn TV is hosting its second annual Murder Mystery May, with new series premieres every week, a bingeable mystery every Monday and a killer film every Friday. The popular, month-long programming event celebrates the breadth of Acorn TV, showcasing the world's best mysteries ranging from fan-favorite whodunits to quirky sleuths to diabolical thrillers.
Irish Blood season two finds Fiona still reeling from the repercussions of her estranged father Declan's (Jason O'Mara's) death, while extricating her mother Mary (Wendy Crewson) from peril at the hands of grifter Callum Deasy (Stuart Graham). As Mary, Fiona and Róisín (Ruth Codd) continue to follow the breadcrumb trail of clues left in Declan's briefcase, they are swept up in a crime-solving adventure across Ireland.
In addition to Silverstone, season two stars O'Mara (The Man In The High Castle, The Good Wife), Crewson (We Were Liars, Tracker), Dearbhla Molloy (Wild Mountain Thyme, Rendezvous), Simone Kirby (His Dark Materials, Kneecap), Codd (The Fall of the House of Usher), Leonardo Taiwo (Wheel of Time, Ant-Man & The Wasp) and Stuart Graham (Hunger, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).
Irish Blood is executive produced by Christina Jennings, Scott Garvie, Paul Donovan, Ailish McElmeel, Susan Coyne, Christina Ray, Aaron Martin, Silverstone and Ruba Nadda, who also directs. Producers are Catherine O'Flaherty and Paige Haight. Irish Blood is produced by Shaftesbury and Deadpan Pictures, in association with AMC Studios and with the support of incentives for the Irish Film Industry provided by the government of Ireland, the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit and Ontario Creates. AMC Studios holds worldwide distribution rights. In Canada, Irish Blood is available for streaming on Crave.
