"The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" Delivers Its Highest Metered Market Rating of the Season and Tops a First-Run "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on a Monday For the First Time

On the first Monday of the November sweep, CSI: MIAMI continued its reign as the night's Number One program, beating the highly-promoted "Country Music Awards," which fell to the lowest ratings in the Award show's 40-year history, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 6.

At 10:00 PM, CSI MIAMI was first in households (10.7/17), viewers (16.80m), adults 25-54 (6.9/16) and adults 18-49 (5.7/14) topping the "Country Music Awards" from 10:00-11:00 by +8% in adults 18-49 (vs.5.3/14), +17% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.9/14) and by +12% in viewers (vs. 14.96m).

The "Country Music Awards," which had aired on CBS since 1972, posted all-time lows in households (9.9/15), viewers (15.96m), adults 25-54 (6.1/14) and matched the lowest rating in adults 18-49 (5.4/13), all since at least the advent of people-meters.

Compared to last year's event (11/15/05 on CBS), the CMAs were down -11% in households (from 11.1/17), -9% in adults 25-54 (from 6.7/15) and lost -1.73m viewers (from 17.69m, -10%).

At 8:00 PM, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (5.2/08, 8.22m) averaged a 3.8/09 in adults 25-54 and 3.2/08 in adults 18-49.

For the night, CBS (8.0/12, 12.56m) averaged 5.3/12 in adults 25-54 and 4.3/11 in adults 18-49.

In late night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON with guests Val Kilmer, Rebecca Gayheart and Paolo Nutini, averaged a 2.0/08, the show's highest rating in the metered markets this season.

This marks the first time the LATE LATE SHOW has topped a first run telecast of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (1.9/07) on a Monday since NBC began airing first-run episodes of the show effective this season.
