CBS Wins the Week with the Best Viewer Delivery by Any Network This Season and Best by Any Network in Nearly a Year

CBS WINS THE WEEK WITH THE BEST VIEWER DELIVERY BY ANY NETWORK THIS SEASON AND BEST BY ANY NETWORK IN NEARLY A YEAR

With the AFC Championship Game, CBS Posts its Best Deliveries in Viewers, Key Adult and Key Men Demos on any Night in Primetime Since February 1, 2004

"NCIS" Retains 98% of its First Run Viewer Delivery and Places in the Top 10 Opposite the Premiere of "American Idol"

"Shark" Matches Its Best Adult 18-49 and Adult 25-54 Ratings of the Season and is the Week's Most Watched Freshman Series

CBS delivered an average weekly audience of 16.5 million viewers, the best delivery by any network this season and THE best by any network in nearly in a year (Feb. 26, the final week of NBC's Olympic coverage), according to Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for the week ending Jan. 21, week 18 of the 2006-2007 television season.

CBS's ratings win was fueled by CBS Sports' coverage of the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME (New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts) which attracted 46.7 million viewers, 19.6/40 in adults 25-54, 17.6/39 in adults 18-49, 15.2/38 in adults 18-34, 25.1/49 in men 25-54, 22.6/49 in men 18-49 and 19.3/48 in men 18-34. These are the Network's best deliveries on any night in primetime since Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004 and the most-watched non-Super Bowl program since the series finale of "Friends" on NBC (52.5 million on 5/6/04).

For the week in viewers, CBS (16.50m) was first, followed by FOX (15.20m), NBC (9.28m) and ABC (8.83m). Season-to-date in viewers, CBS (12.55m) is first, followed by ABC (10.21m), NBC (9.92m) and FOX (8.86m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (6.5/15) and adults 18-49 (5.4/14) behind "American Idol" driven FOX. Season-to-date, CBS is in sole possession of first place in both adults 18-49 (3.8/10) and adults 25-54 (4.8/12).

For the week in households, CBS (10.0/16) was +15% ahead of FOX (8.7/13), +64% ahead of NBC (6.1/09) and +75% ahead of NBC (5.7/09). Season-to-date in households, CBS is first (8.0/13), outpacing ABC by +21% (6.6/11), NBC by +25% (6.4/10) and FOX by +43% (5.6/09).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? NCIS was second in households (10.2/15), viewers (15.95m), adults 25-54 (5.1/11) and adults 18-49 (3.7/09). Against the premiere of "American Idol" on FOX, NCIS retained 100% of its first run household delivery this season, 98% of viewers (16.32m), 93% of adults 25-54 (5.5/14) and 90% of adults 18-49 (4.1/11).

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.9/14), viewers (13.77m), adults 25-54 (5.4/12) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was second in households (13.3/20), viewers (21.41m, -530,000 viewers behind ABC), adults 25-54 (8.5/18), adults 18-49 (6.9/16) and adults 18-34 (5.2/14).

? SHARK was first in households (9.8/16), viewers (15.10m), adults 25-54 (5.6/14) and adults 18-49 (4.4/12). This matches the best adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 delivery for SHARK to date and the second best households and viewers delivery (behind 11/16/06).

From 7:00-11:00PM, CBS was first in households (24.7/36), viewers (43.45m), adults 25-54 (18.3/37), adults 18-49 (16.4/36), adults 18-34 (14.2/36), men 25-54 (23.3/46), men 18-49 (20.8/46) and men 18-34 (17.9/45).

This is CBS's best deliveries in households, viewers, key adult and key men demos on any night in primetime since Feb. 1, 2004, Super Bowl Sunday.

? The AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ON CBS scored a 26.4/39 in households with 46.70m viewers, 19.6/40 in adults 25-54, 17.6/39 in adults 18-49, 15.2/38 in adults 18-34, 25.1/49 in men 25-54, 22.6/49 in men 18-49 and 19.3/48 in men 18-34. The AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ON CBS scored this season's best deliveries of any broadcast in households, viewers and key adult and men demos. This is the best delivery for the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME in viewers since the advent of people meters.

? WITHOUT A TRACE (10:41-11:41PM) posted a 9.0/16 with 13.72m viewers, 5.6/14 in adults 25-54, 4.7/13 in adults 18-49 and 3.8/12 in adults 18-34. This is WITHOUT A TRACE's best adults 18-34 delivery this season and the best adults 18-49 performance since the program's Sept. 24, 2006 season premiere.
