NFL Sunday Prime Overrun Delivers 37.13 Million Viewers; 13.5/38 in Adults 18-49

The annual visits of RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER and FROSTY THE SNOWMAN helped make Week 11 of the 2007-2008 television season a holly jolly one for CBS as the Network placed first in viewers and key demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 9.

CBS had six of the top 10 programs of the week in viewers including No. 1, CSI; No. 3, 60 MINUTES; No. 4, RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER; No. 5, SURVIVOR: CHINA; No. 8, WITHOUT A TRACE; and No. 10, THE AMAZING RACE 12 (best deliveries in viewers and key demos since its Nov. 4 premiere). Additionally, the Sunday NFL Overrun (7:00-7:25 PM) delivered 37.13 million viewers and 13.5/38 in adults 18-49.

For the week in viewers, CBS (10.49m) topped ABC (8.84m), NBC (8.09m) and FOX (6.35m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (12.08m), ahead of ABC (11.57m), FOX (8.92m) and NBC (8.78m).

In households, CBS (6.6/11) was +16% ahead of ABC (5.7/09), +27% ahead of NBC (5.2/08) and +61% ahead of FOX (4.1/06). Season-to-date, CBS is first (7.7/12), +3% ahead of ABC (7.5/12) and +40% ahead of both NBC and FOX (5.5/09, each).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (3.1/08). Season-to-date, CBS is second in adults 25-54 (4.4/11, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? TWO AND A HALF MEN (R) was first in households (7.5/11), viewers (11.88m), second behind the fall finale of "Heroes" in both adults 25-54 (4.7/10) and adults 18-49 (3.8/08). Compared to first-run "Samantha Who?", TWO AND A HALF MEN posted a +60% advantage in households (vs. 4.7/07), +58% in adults 25-54 (vs. 3.0/06), +31% in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.9/06) and by +4.72m viewers (vs. 7.16m, +66%).

? CSI: MIAMI (R) was first in households (6.6/10), viewers (9.69m), adults 25-54 (3.4/08) and adults 18-49 (2.6/06) against all first run competition on ABC and NBC.

? RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (R) (S) (8:00-9:04 PM) was first from 8:00-9:00 PM in households (7.6/12), viewers (14.55m), adults 25-54 (5.8/15), adults 18-49 (5.1/14), adults 18-34 (3.5/10), children 2-11 (7.8/25) and children 6-11 (6.9/21). Compared to last year's broadcast (12/8/06), RUDOLPH was up +13% each in households (from 6.7/12), adults 18-49 (from 4.5/15) and adults 18-34 (from 3.1/12), +16% in adults 25-54 (from 5.0/15), +1% in children 6-11 (from 6.8/19), even in children 2-11 and added +1.60m viewers (from 12.95m, +12%). RUDOLPH was Tuesday's #1 program in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, tied for #1 in adults 18-34 (with "Law & Order: SVU").

? VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW (S) (5.1/08, 7.49m) was second in adults 18-49 (2.6/07).

-- Thursday, CBS was first in households (9.4/15), viewers (15.15m), adults 25-54 (5.6/14) and second in adults 18-49 (4.4/11). CBS has won 10 of the 11 Thursdays this season in households, viewers and adults 25-54 and last six Thursdays in a row in these measures.

? SURVIVOR: CHINA was first in households (8.2/13), viewers (13.86m), adults 25-54 (5.5/14) and adults 18-49 (4.5/12). SURVIVOR has won its time period for 12 consecutive weeks in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in viewers (18.80m), tied for first in households (11.6/17, with ABC), second in adults 25-54 (7.0/16) and adults 18-49 (5.5/13).

-- Friday, CBS (4.1/07, 6.50m) was first in adults 18-49 (2.0/07), adults 18-34 (1.5/05) and tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.5/07, with ABC).

? FROSTY THE SNOWMAN (R) (S) (8:00-8:32PM) was first in adults 25-54 (3.0/10), adults 18-49 (2.7/09), adults 18-34 (2.0/08), children 2-11 (4.3/15), children 6-11 (3.3/11) and second in households (4.6/08) and viewers (8.05m).

? FROSTY RETURNS (R) (S) (8:32-9:00PM) was first in adults 18-34 (1.8/07), children 2-11 (5.1/17), children 6-11 (3.8/12), second in households (4.1/07), viewers (7.34m), adults 25-54 (2.7/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/08, -0.1 behind NBC).

? MOVIES ROCK! A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC AND FILM (S) (3.9/07, 5.89m) was tied for first in adults 18-34 (1.2/04, with NBC), tied for second in both adults 18-49 (1.8/06, with NBC and -0.2 behind ABC) and adults 25-54 (2.3/06, with NBC).

? CBS's NFL run over posted a 22.3/27 with 37.13m viewers from 7:00-7.25 PM, leading the time period in households, viewers, adults 25-54 (14.5/38) and adults 18-49 (13.5/38). The entire game posted an 18.4/32 with 30.26m viewers 12.1/33 in adults 25-54 and 11.2/34 in adults 18-49, the second best delivery of any network program this season in households and viewers (behind November 4, 2007's CBS NFL National Game - Patriots at Colts) and third best delivery of any network program this season in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 (behind November 4, 2007's CBS NFL National Game and October 14, 2007's CBS NFL National Game - Patriots at Cowboys).

? 60 MINUTES (7:25-8:25 PM) was first from 7:30-8:30PM in households (10.6/17), viewers (16.50m), adults 25-54 (5.1/12) and adults 18-49 (4.2/11). This is 60 MINUTES's best delivery in households, viewers and adults 18-49 since Nov. 4, 2007.
