BURBANK, Calif. � January 5, 2008 � "1 VS 100" has launched its second season Friday night with a time-period victory in all key ratings categories, leading NBC to a nightlong win in adults 18-49 and total viewers, according to "fast affiliate-based" "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.
From 8-9 p.m. ET Friday night, "1 VS 100" delivered a 2.3 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 8.6 million viewers overall. Pending updates to these preliminary numbers, "1 VS 100" ranked #1 in the time period in adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
The Bob Saget-hosted series scored NBC's top adult 18-49 rating in this time period in five weeks and improved on NBC's season average 2.0 rating in the hour by 15 percent. From its first half-hour to its second, "1 VS 100" increased its 18-49 rating by 24 percent (to a 2.6/8 from a 2.1/6) and its overall viewership by 1.3 million persons or 16 percent (to 9.2 million from 7.9 million).
"1 VS 100" is currently tied with Fox's 9 p.m. ET "House" encore for the #1 rating of the night on any network in 18-49 and is the #1 show of the night outright in total viewers.
At 9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) is currently #2 in the time period in 18-49 and tied for #1 among men 25-54.
At 10 p.m. ET, "Las Vegas" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers) is #2 in the time slot in 18-49 and #1 in men 18-49 and men 25-54.
NBC is currently #1 for the night in 18-49 and total viewers, marking the network's second Friday 18-49 win in three weeks.
Preliminary 18-49 averages for Friday night are: NBC 2.1/6; Fox, 2.0/6; ABC, 1.6/5; CBS, 1.6/5; CW, 1.6/5. In overall total viewers, January 4 preliminary results are: NBC, 7.1 million; ABC, 6.4 million; Fox, 6.2 million; CBS, 6.0 million; CW, 4.8 million
