CBS WINS THE WEEK IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

CBS Remains the Only Network To Grow Its Audience This Summer

Network Has Five of the Top 10 Programs and Half of the Top 20

"NCIS" Is the Week's Top Drama in Viewers for the Fifth Consecutive Week

"Big Brother 11" Posts Week-to-Week Increases

CBS placed first in viewers and adults 25-54, second in adults 18-49 with five of the top 10 programs and 10 of the top 20, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending July 26, week 44 of the 2008-2009 television year.

CBS remains the only network to increase its audience this summer, up +1% from the same period last year (6.97m from 6.87m).

NCIS was the week's top drama for the fifth consecutive week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was the number one comedy and top scripted series in adults 25-54 and tied with THE BIG BANG THEORY as the top scripted series in adults 18-49. Additionally, BIG BROTHER 11 posted week-to-week increases in viewers and key demographics.

For the week in viewers: CBS (6.22m), NBC (5.06m), FOX (4.96m) and ABC (4.02m). Summer-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (6.97m), ahead of NBC (5.41m), FOX (5.22m) and ABC (4.89m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.0/06, with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (1.4/05). Summer-to-date, CBS is tied for first in adults 25-54 (with FOX) and second in adults 18-49.

For the week in households: CBS (4.1/08), NBC (3.3/06), FOX (3.1/06) and ABC (2.6/05). Summer-to-date, CBS is first (4.6/08), ahead of NBC (3.5/06), FOX (3.3/06) and ABC (3.1/06).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? TWO AND A HALF MEN (R) won its time slot in households (6.0/10), viewers (9.31m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and was tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.8/08, with ABC's first-run programming).

? THE BIG BANG THEORY (R) was first in households (5.7/09), viewers (8.80m), adults 25-54 (3.7/10) and second in adults 18-49 (2.8/08, -0.1 behind ABC).

? NCIS (R) was first in households (6.4/11) and viewers (9.72m).

? CSI: NY (R) was first in households (5.0/09), viewers (7.29m), adults 25-54 (2.1/06) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.4/04, with ABC).

? THE MENTALIST (R) was first in households (6.2/11), viewers (9.61m), adults 25-54 (2.8/06) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06).

? BIG BROTHER 11 THURSDAY was first in households (4.0/08), viewers (6.39m), adults 25-54 (2.6/08), adults 18-49 (2.1/07) and adults 18-34 (1.5/06) for the third consecutive week. Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 11 THURSDAY was up +8% in both households (from 3.7/08) and adults 25-54 (from 2.4/08), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/07) and added +760,000 viewers (from 5.63m, +14%).

? BIG BROTHER 11 SUNDAY was first in households (3.7/07), viewers (6.08m), adults 25-54 (2.5/07), adults 18-49 (2.0/07) and adults 18-34 (1.6/06). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 11 SUNDAY was up +6% in households (from 3.5/07), +9% in adults 25-54 (from 2.3/07), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/06), even in adults 18-34 and added +510,000 viewers (from 5.57m, +9%).
