USA Rules Cable Again
USA spins the numbers for the week of August 10-16.

USA RULES CABLE AGAIN

NEW YORK, NEW YORK � August 18, 2009 � USA dominated the cable landscape again this week, delivering the most P25-54 (1.52 million, +43% over #2 TNT), P18-49 (1.29 million, +27% over #2 TBS), total viewers (3.46 million, +23% over #2 Disney Channel), and households (2.62 million, +26% over #2 Disney Channel), as well as earning the top household coverage rating in basic cable prime this week (2.65, +0.53 over #2 Disney Channel). USA was the only cable network in prime to deliver over 1.5 million in P25-54 million, 3 million total viewers, or 2.5 million households this week.

USA registered victories over "Big 4" broadcasters in 19 primetime hours this week (M-Su 8P-11P) thanks to USA Original Series ROYAL PAINS, MONK, and PSYCH, WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW, hot acquired series NCIS and LAW & ORDER: SVU, and hit movies. USA delivered three times as many P25-54 (+208%) and total viewers (+240%) as The CW this week, as well as doubling the broadcaster's P18-49 (+147%) delivery while outperforming them in P18-34 by a wide margin (+83%).

Half of the top ten telecasts of the week for both demos were on USA this week with the network's five hours of original programming including ROYAL PAINS, MONK, PSYCH, and WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW.

� ROYAL PAINS was #1 drama in all of television this week in P18-34 (878,000), placing second only to The Closer in P25-54 (2.66 million), P18-49 (2.04 million), total viewers (5.56 million), and households (4.11 million) in cable.

� MONK and PSYCH were the top two telecasts on cable Friday, delivering more P25-54 (Monk 2.13 million / Psych 1.97 million), P18-49 (1.73 million / 1.71 million), P18-34 (614,000 / 744,000), total viewers (5.31 million / 4.195 million), and households (3.77 million / 2.97 million) than anything else in the daypart, as well as outperforming all scripted telecasts on the broadcast nets in the night. PSYCH was television's #1 M18-34 drama (400,000) this week.

� WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW was the most watched P18-49 program on cable this week (2.57 million), holding the top telecast for the week in P25-54 (2.84 million) with the 10P hour.

� NCIS and LAW & ORDER: SVU were the top acquired series on cable this week, delivering more P25-54 (NCIS 1.40 million / SVU 1.07 million), total viewers (3.67 million / 2.56 million), and households (2.83 million / 2.11 million) than any other acquired series in basic cable prime. These were the only acquired series to deliver over 1 million in P25-54, 3 million total viewers or 2 million households. NCIS delivered more total viewers than any of TNT's Original series except for The Closer this week.
