UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. September 17, 2009 NBC's "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" has topped all broadcast and cable competition for the week of September 7-11 in the key late-night demographic of adults 18-49, as Conan delivered bigger audiences in the hour than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" or ABC's lineup of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in every key ratings demographic: adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54.

Note that all Monday telecasts are excluded from these averages due to the Labor Day holiday, Thursday NBC results are excluded due to a football overrun and Wednesday ABC and CBS results are excluded due to a news overrun.

Conan led "Late Show" by a 70 percent margin in 18-49 viewers, his biggest margin of victory over Letterman since the week of June 22-26. In the younger half of the key 18-49 demo, adults 18-34, Conan out-delivered "Late Show" by a 153 percent margin.

Conan has now ranked #1 in 18-49 rating versus "Late Show" on 70 of 70 nights since his June 1 debut (including three ties, excludes the week of June 29-July 3, when "Tonight" was re-titled due to delays for Wimbledon coverage). Conan has won 14 of 14 weeks thus far in 18-49 viewers versus "Late Show" by margins each week of 20 percent or more (excludes Wimbledon week).

The median age of Conan's audience last week was 47.4, more than nine years younger than "Nightline's" 57.3 and more than 11 years younger than Letterman's 58.9.

NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" was also dominant last week over all broadcast competition, delivering bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in total viewers plus every one of the key demographics: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. Jimmy Fallon's 67 percent margin over Ferguson for the week in 18-49 viewers is the biggest for "Late Night" since the week of June 22-26. Since his March 2 debut, Jimmy Fallon has ranked #1 or tied for #1 versus Ferguson in 18-49 rating on 132 of 135 nights.

In the valuable adult 18-34 category, Jimmy Fallon out-delivered Letterman (393,000 vs. 262,000), despite Jimmy's later start time. Head-to-head versus Ferguson, Jimmy's margin was 87 percent in 18-34 viewers.

At 1:35 a.m. ET, encore telecasts of "Last Call with Carson Daly" (0.4 rating in 18-49, 0.3 in 18-34) tied Ferguson originals in adult 18-49 and adult 18-34 rating. The "Last Call" encores also tied ABC's original Kimmel for the week in adult 18-34 rating.

For the week of September 7-11, Conan's average 1.509 million adults 18-49 topped the 890,000 of Letterman; in total viewers, Conan's audience of 2.931 million persons trailed Letterman's 3.283 million; and in adults 18-34, Conan's 663,000 million out-scored Letterman's 262,000. At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon's 927,000 adults 18-49 for the week out-delivered Ferguson's 556,000; in total viewers, Jimmy's 1.621 million beat Ferguson's 1.562 million; and in adults 18-34, Jimmy's 393,000 topped Ferguson's 210,000.
