NATIONAL NIELSEN RATINGS FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 22 - 28, 2010

With solid performances across the week and gains on both nights of AMERICAN IDOL, FOX ended the week with a 3.1/9 among Adults 18-49. Season to date, FOX continues its reign at No. 1, outperforming the next highest rated broadcast network by +12% in the adult demo.

On Tuesday, the Top 11 on AMERICAN IDOL posted an 8.4/23 among Adults 18-49 and showed growth compared to the Top 11 performance show last year on 3/17/09, increasing +2% among Adults 18-49, +6% among Adults 18-34, +6% among Teens and +11% in Total Viewers. AMERICAN IDOL also showed gains compared to the previous week's Top 12 performance show, growing +4% among Adults 18-49, +11% among Adults 18-34, +12% among Teens and +6% in Total Viewers.

FOX won Tuesday night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos and showed an advantage over the combined 4-net competition by +8% among Adults 18-49, +11% among Adults 18-34, +57% among Teens and over its nearest competitor by +124% among Total Viewers.

The following night, the Top 11 Results on AMERICAN IDOL posted a 7.2/20 among Adults 18-49 and won its hour among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos. AMERICAN IDOL beat the combined 4-net competition in the hour on Wednesday by +1% in the adult demo while it outperformed its nearest competitors by +125% among Adults 18-49, +115% among Adults 18-34, +283% among Teens and +161% in Total Viewers.

Compared to the previous week's Results show, AMERICAN IDOL showed growth of +6% among Adults 18-49, +12% among Adults 18-34, +10% among Teens and +4% in Total Viewers.

So far this season, AMERICAN IDOL's average is on par with the same weeks last year (Most Current ratings vs. comparable Most Current), showing 94% retention among Adults 18-49 (9.4/24 vs. 10.0/25), 94% among Adults 18-34 (7.9/23 vs. 8.4/23), 97% among Teens (6.7/22 vs. 6.9/22) and 95% in Total Viewers (25.3 vs. 26.6 Mil.)
