UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 1, 2010 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has won the week of June 21-25 in adults 18-49 and total viewers over all cable and broadcast competition, delivering bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in every key ratings category: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, as well as total viewers. Jay generated his biggest adult 18-49 viewership and biggest overall viewership in four weeks.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" also attracted bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in all key ratings categories.

"Tonight" generated its biggest winning margin in total viewers in eight weeks (since the week of April 26-30) over "Late Show" and Jimmy Fallon topped "Late Late Show" by its biggest margin in 10 weeks (since April 12-16). Jay led the week over "Late Show" by a 23 percent margin in total viewers and Jimmy won over "Late Late Show" by 7 percent. "Late Night" also delivered its biggest margin in adult 18-49 viewers over "Late Late Show" in nine weeks (since April 19-23), with a 21 percent advantage.

To date, Jay Leno has ranked #1 in adult 18-49 rating on 79 of 85 nights versus "Late Show" (including ties) since returning as host of "Tonight" on March 1. In total viewers, Jay has ranked #1 on 80 of 85 nights.

The week concluded this year's second quarter, in which Jay Leno won the 11:35 p.m. ET hour in adults 18-49 and total viewers over all cable and broadcast competition. At 12:35 a.m., Jimmy Fallon took the hour in 18-49 viewers over all cable and broadcast competition.

For the quarter, "The Tonight Show" out-delivered "Late Show" and ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Kimmel" in all key ratings categories. Jay topped "Late Show" for the quarter by margins of 23 percent in both adult 18-49 viewers (1.392 million vs. 1.135 million) and total viewers (4.030 million vs. 3.284 million). In adult 18-34 viewers, the margin was 30 percent (513,000 vs. 394,000).

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" also generated bigger audiences in the second quarter than CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics. Jimmy's margin over "Late Late Show" for the quarter was 14 percent in 18-49 viewers (792,000 vs. 696,000) and 26 percent in 18-34 viewers (335,000 vs. 265,000). In total viewers, Jimmy finished within 4 percent of "Late Late Show" (1.631 million vs. 1.695 million).

For the second quarter, Jay Leno ranked #1 in adult 18-49 rating on 60 of 65 nights versus "Late Show" (including ties) and on 60 of 65 nights outright in total viewers.

For the week of June 21-25 at 1:35 a.m. ET, encore telecasts of "Last Call with Carson Daly" (0.3 rating in 18-49, 0.3 in 18-34) tied CBS's first-run "Late Late Show" and ABC's mostly original "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in adult 18-34 rating.

For the week of May 17-21, Jay's average 1.276 million adults 18-49 outscored Letterman's 1.083 million; in total viewers, Jay's audience of 3.834 million persons beat Letterman's 3.126 million; and in adults 18-34, Jay's 493,000 topped Letterman's 385,000. At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon's 724,000 adults 18-49 for the week topped Ferguson's 600,000; in total viewers, Jimmy's 1.589 million led Ferguson's 1.492 million; and in adults 18-34, Jimmy's 307,000 out-delivered Ferguson's 224,000.
