FOX Makes Gains and Claims Summer's Top Spot

FOX MAKES GAINS AND CLAIMS SUMMER'S TOP SPOT

Despite ABC's strong summer fueled by NBA basketball, FOX has successfully closed the gap to tie as the No. 1 broadcast network of the summer season. With gains by LIE TO ME and THE GOOD GUYS, another strong serving of MASTERCHEF, and a sizzling SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Top 4 performance show, FOX placed a very close second among Adults 18-49 last week and won the week among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

On Monday FOX's LIE TO ME and GOOD GUYS combo made significant gains across multiple demos:

· At 8p, LIE TO ME posted a 1.9/6 among Adults 18-49, up +19% from the previous week (1.6/5) to rank No. 2 in the hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens (tie) and No. 1 in Men 18-49/18-34.

· So far this summer, LIE TO ME has lifted FOX's performance in the time period last summer, by +20% among Adults 18-49 and +26% in Total Viewers.

· THE GOOD GUYS followed at 9p and posted a 1.1/3 among Adults 18-49, up +10% from the previous week among Adults 18-49, +25% among Adults 18-34 and +3% in Total Viewers.

FOX turned up the heat in the kitchen on Tuesday, winning the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and all key male and female demos.

· HELL'S KITCHEN delivered a 3.2/11 among Adults 18-49 (up +10%), tying its highest 8p rating of the summer in the demo and posting its highest of the summer in Total Viewers in the 8p time slot.

· HELL'S KITCHEN topped the night as the highest rated program among Adults 18-49, outperforming ABC's Wipeout and NBC's America's Got Talent.

· Week two of MASTERCHEF delivered a 2.6/8 among Adults 18-49, down just one-tenth from the previous week's premiere.

· MASTERCHEF beat NBC's America's Got Talent in head to head competition in the 9p hour by +10% among Adults 18-34 (2.3/8 vs. 2.1/7).

· Overall, FOX outperformed its nearest competitor for the night, NBC, by a substantial +32% among Adults 18-49 and +63% among Adults 18-34.

On Wednesday, the Top 4 performed on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and posted a 2.1/7 for the night among Adults 18-49, up +5% in the adult demo and +13% in Total Viewers from the previous week.

· SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-34 (tied with Big Brother).

· FOX's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE ranked No. 2 for the night on a total primetime basis among Adults 18-49 and won the night among Adults 18-34, Teens, all key female demos and Men 18-34.

In addition, with its block of COPS and AMERICA'S MOST WANTED, FOX ranked No. 1 on Saturday night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34/25-54 and most key male and female demos.
