"JKL" Builds its Overall Audience Year to Year for the 3rd Week in a Row and for the 8th Time in 10 Weeks this Summer

"JKL" Outperforms "Ferguson" for the Week in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, Topping the CBS Program for the 3rd Time in 4 Weeks in the Key Sales Demo

"Kimmel" Tops "Letterman" on Monday and Friday in Adults 18-34 and Men 18-34

During the week of August 2, 2010, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" posted strong week-to-week growth in Total Viewers (+14% - 1.50 million vs. 1.32 million), Adults 18-49 (+16% - 590,000 vs. 507,000) and Adults 18-34 (+35% - 241,000 vs. 178,000). "JKL" produced its biggest overall audience in 5 weeks and its top Adult 18-34 number in 7 weeks � since w/o 6/28/10 and 6/14/10, respectively.

· "JKL" was up over the year-ago week (w/o 8/3/09) in both Total Viewers (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%), building its overall audience year to year for the 3rd consecutive week and for the 8th time in the 10 weeks this summer.

· During the week, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" topped CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" by 6% in Total Viewers (1.50 million vs. 1.41 million) and by 8% in Adults 18-49 (590,000 vs. 544,000), outdelivering the CBS show for the 3rd time in 4 weeks with young adults.

· On Monday night (8/2/10), featuring NBA star Shaquille O'Neal from "Shaq VS," Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez from "The Bachelorette" and Basil Marceaux (gubernatorial candidate of Chattanooga, TN), "Jimmy Kimmel Live" outperformed CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman" by wide margins in Adults 18-34 (+31% - 338,000 vs. 258,000) and Men 18-34 (+54% - 156,000 vs. 101,000). "Jimmy Kimmel" also bested "Letterman" on Friday evening (8/6/10) in both Nielsen measures.

Ratings Report for ABC News' "Nightline" For the Week of August 2, 2010

"NIGHTLINE" BESTS "LETTERMAN" 17 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS IN TOTAL VIEWERS� FIRST TIME IN 11 YEARS

"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 SEASON TO DATE IN TOTAL VIEWERS YEAR TO YEAR, "NIGHTLINE" GROWS +11% AMONG A25-54 AND +2% IN TOTAL VIEWERS

For the seventeenth consecutive week, ABC News "Nightline" has outperformed CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" among Total Viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. The last time this happened was in 1999. Additionally, "Nightline" is in first place for the full season to date with 3.75 million Total Viewers, outperforming "Letterman" and NBC's "Tonight Show with Jay Leno." For the week of August 2, 2010, "Nightline" ranked second among A25-54, A18-49 and Total Viewers. "Letterman" posted its lowest demo delivery of the season and lowest total viewer delivery since the week of 5/25/09.

Compared to the same week last year, "Nightline" grew the most (+11%) versus the competition among A25-54. "Nightline" also increased +1% year to year among A18-49 while "The Tonight Show" declined -13%. Among Total Viewers, "Nightline" grew +2% while "Letterman" decreased -4%.

Week to week, "Nightline" increased +8% among A18-49 while "The Tonight Show" declined -2% and "Letterman" decreased -5%. Among A25-54, "Nightline" also grew +5% while "The Tonight Show" decreased -5% and "Letterman" declined -1%. "Nightline" grew +1% among Total Viewers week to week while "The Tonight Show" decreased -6%.

ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Martin Bashir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.
