FOX Climbs in Week Two While Competitors Decline

FOX CLIMBS IN WEEK TWO WHILE COMPETITORS DECLINE

Freshman Comedy RAISING HOPE Is Only New Series to Hold Premiere Week Rating

While all other broadcast networks saw week-over-week declines, FOX made healthy gains (+8%) in Week Two of the new season, driven by strong performances by musical phenomenon GLEE, reality hit HELL'S KITCHEN and new comedy RAISING HOPE. FOX closed the week with a second-place finish among Adults 18-49 (2.8/8) and ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Key weekly highlights:

· On Monday, HOUSE (3.8/10) was once again the highest-rated drama of the night, outperforming ABC's Castle, CBS' Hawaii Five-O and NBC's Chuck, The Event and Chase.

· FOX won its second Tuesday in a row among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Teens and key male and female demos with its new Tuesday comedy block.

· GLEE was once again the highest-rated entertainment program of the week and hit a new series high (5.9/17) with its Britney Spears-themed episode

· RAISING HOPE was the only new series this Fall to hold its premiere rating in week 2 (3.1/8)

· RUNNING WILDE saw modest declines but remained solid against stiff competition.

· On Wednesday, FOX placed a strong second and closed the gap versus CBS on the night last week, narrowing its distance behind first place from 0.7 ratings points to 0.3.

· In fact, HELL'S KITCHEN made significant gains against CBS' Survivor last week, narrowing the gap in head to head competition during the 8p hour by 0.7 rating points

· FOX's original episode of THE SIMPSONS on Sunday featuring Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg saw a +14% gain week-over-week and ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Week two of GLEE posted a 5.9/17, its highest rating ever in Adults 18-49, up +5% from the previous week's premiere (5.6/16).

This is the first time in 17 years that the highest rated entertainment program of premiere week (GLEE) grew in week two among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers (since Fall '93, Seinfeld).

GLEE was FOX's highest rated Fall live-action comedy telecast in eight years among Adults 18-49 (since 10/29/02, That �70s Show) and nine years among Total Viewers (since 11/18/01, Malcolm in the Middle).

GLEE was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and won its 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Teens, Adults 25-54, Women 18-49/18-34/25-54 and Men 18-49/18-34.

At 9p week two of RAISING HOPE posted a 3.1/8 among Adults 18-49, on par with the previous week's premiere in Adults 18-49.

RAISING HOPE ranked No. 3 in its 9p half hour among Adults 18-49 and won the half hour among Adults 18-34 and Teens (tie).

Week two of RUNNING WILDE at 9:30p posted a 1.9/5 among Adults 18-49. RUNNING WILDE ranked No. 3 in the 9:30 half hour among Men/Women 18-34 and No. 4 among Adults 18-49.

FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Teens, Women 18-49/18-34 and Men 18-49/18-34. FOX outperformed its nearest competitor for the night (CBS) by +24% among Adults 18-49 (4.2/12 vs. 3.4/10).

WEDNESDAY

8:00-10:00 HELL'S KITCHEN: (A18-49: 2.9/9, 6.3 Mil Total Viewers)

Week two of HELL'S KITCHEN posted a 2.9/9 for the night among Adults 18-49, same as its premiere the previous week (2.9/8).

HELL'S KITCHEN gave FOX a No. 2 rank for the night among Adults 18-49 and won the night in Adults 18-34. In fact, HELL'S KITCHEN narrowed the gap between FOX and the first place network (CBS) by 0.4 rating points, moving from 0.7 rating points from premiere week to 0.3 in week two.

HELL'S KITCHEN also significantly closed the gap in head to head competition in the 8p hour with CBS' Survivor by 0.7 rating points (1.4 in premiere week vs. 0.7 in week two.) Also in the 8p hour, HELL'S KITCHEN out-delivered Survivor in Adults 18-34 (2.6/9 vs. 2.4/8).
