New Comedy "Breaking In" Ranked as FOX's Highest Rated Sitcom Series Premiere in Over Five Years Among Total Viewers

NATIONAL NIELSEN RATINGS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 4 - 10, 2011

FOX finished a close second thanks to AMERICAN IDOL and the outstanding premiere of new comedy BREAKING IN, which ranked as FOX's highest rated sitcom series premiere in over five years among Total Viewers. Season to date, FOX continues to outperform the No. 2 network by a half of a ratings point among Adults 18-49 (3.5 vs. 3.0) and is performing in line with last season (3.5/10 vs. 3.7/10).

Key highlights from last week include:

· On Wednesday, FOX won the night in Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos and outperformed its nearest competitor for the night by +113% in Adults 18-49 (6.4 vs. 3.0 for CBS) and +75% in Total Viewers (19.8 vs. CBS' 11.4 Mil.)

· AMERICAN IDOL was the highest rated program of the night in all key demos and outperformed the next highest rated program of the night by +103% in A18-49 (7.3 vs. Criminal Minds' 3.6) and +64% in Total Viewers (23.1 vs. Criminal Minds' 14.1 Mil.)

· AMERICAN IDOL retained 95% of last Wednesday's performance in Adults 18-49 (7.3 vs. 7.7) and retained 95% in Total Viewers (23.1 vs. 24.2 Mil.). AMERICAN IDOL also retained 100% vs. the comparable telecast last year in A18-49 (7.3/21 vs. 7.3/20, Top 9 on 4/6/10) and gained +11% in Total Viewers (23.1 vs. 20.9 Mil.)

· The series debut of BREAKING IN ranked as the highest rated FOX sitcom series premiere in over five years among Total Viewers (since 3/15/06, The Loop) and is the highest rated FOX live-action sitcom series premiere in over four years among Adults 18-49 (since 3/04/07, The Winner).

· BREAKING IN showed the strongest retention for a sitcom leading out of AMERICAN IDOL in over four years among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers (since 4/4/07, TIL DEATH) and is the highest rated FOX live-action sitcom telecast in over three years among Adults 18-49 and among Total Viewers (since 3/25/08, TIL DEATH).

· BREAKING IN was the second highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-34, behind only AMERICAN IDOL.

· On Thursday, FOX won the night in Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and key demos and outperformed the next highest rated net for the night by +60% in Adults 18-49 (4.8 vs. CBS' 3.0) and +27% in Total Viewers (16.2 vs. CBS' 12.8 Mil.)

· AMERICAN IDOL was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens and outperformed the combined 4-net competition in the 8p hour by +8% in Total Viewers (21.5 vs. 20.0 Mil.) and outperformed the next highest rated program of the night by +73% in Adults 18-49 (6.4 vs. 3.7 for The Big Bang Theory) and +41% in Total Viewers (21.5 vs. 15.2 Mil for The Mentalist.)

· In the 8p hour AMERICAN IDOL outperformed the next highest rated net by +107% in Adults 18-49 (6.4 vs. 3.1 for CBS) and +115% in Total Viewers (21.5 vs. 10.0 for CBS).

· BONES won its time period among A18-49, A18-34, Teens and key demos and was the second highest rated program of the night in A18-34 (tie) and Teens behind only AMERICAN IDOL.
