CBS PLACES EIGHT OF THE TOP 10 ENTERTAINMENT SHOWS IN ADULTS 18-49

Network Wins in Viewers for the Fourth Consecutive Week

"NCIS" is the Week's #1 Program

CBS is the First Network Since 2002 to Have the Season's #1 Comedy ("Two and a Half Men"), #1 Drama ("NCIS") and #1 New Series ("2 Broke Girls") in Adults 18-49

CBS Leads Season-to-Date in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

CBS placed eight of the week's top 10 scripted programs in adults 18-49 and won its fourth consecutive week in viewers led by the #1 series NCIS, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct.16.

CBS had eight of the week's top 10 scripted programs in adults 18-49, more than all the other networks combined, with TWO AND A HALF MEN, THE BIG BANG THEORY, 2 BROKE GIRLS, NCIS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, MIKE & MOLLY, CRIMINAL MINDS and a rebroadcast of THE BIG BANG THEORY.

CBS also has four of the top 10 programs in viewers (#1 NCIS; #5 TWO AND A HALF MEN; #6 NCIS: LOS ANGELES; and #9 THE BIG BANG THEORY) and 12 of the top 20, leading the Network to its fourth consecutive weekly viewer victory (every week this season).

For the season, CBS is the first network since 2002 to have the #1 comedy ("Two and a Half Men"), #1 drama ("NCIS") and #1 new series ("2 Broke Girls," tie with "New Girl") in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen most current ratings through the week ending Oct. 16.

CBS becomes the first Network to accomplish the ratings trifecta since NBC in 2002 with "Friends," "ER" and "Good Morning, Miami."

Season-to-date, CBS is #1 in viewers (12.64m), adults 18-49 (3.3/09) and adults 25-54 (4.3/11).

For the week in viewers: CBS (10.62m), FOX (9.03m), ABC (8.62m) and NBC (6.37m). Season-to-date, CBS (12.64m) is first in viewers followed by ABC (9.53m), FOX (8.68m) and NBC (7.50m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 18-49 (2.6/07) and adults 25-54 (3.4/08). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 18-49 (3.3/09) and adults 25-54 (4.3/11).

Note: DVR penetration is at 42%, up from 38% last year. Last fall, Live+7 audiences for original entertainment series on CBS gained over 1.8 million viewers, on average, over Live+ Same Day ratings, more than any other network. This season, we expect DVR penetration to continue to increase and, as a result, we expect DVR playback audiences to grow to as well.

Note: More detailed information to come including full show highlights and charts.
