· At 8:00 p.m., ABC's replay of "The Middle" dominated its repeat comedy competition in the half-hour among Total Viewers (5.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.3/4), leading NBC's "Up All Night" by 1.9 million viewers and 30% in young adults (3.4 million and 1.0/3) and Fox's "Raising Hope" by 2.8 million viewers and 44% in young adults (2.5 million and 0.9/3).

· ABC's encore "Suburgatory" outperformed repeats of both NBC's "Whitney" and Fox's "Raising Hope" by 75% each with Adults 18-49 (1.4/4 vs. 0.8/2) in the 8:30 p.m. half-hour, while outdrawing the NBC sitcom by 1.9 million viewers (2.7 million) and the Fox sitcom by 2.3 million viewers (2.3 million). A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 43% currently, from 38% at the same point in 2010. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
