Initially in the Live + Same Day statistics, Modern Family finished behind both editions of American Idol, The Voice, and The Big Bang Theory in the young adult demo.

Based on Nielsen's final ratings, Disney-owned Once Upon a Time solidified its rank as TV's top-rated freshman drama in Adults 18-49 (4.2 rating), topping runner-up CBS' Person of Interest by 5% (4.0) and NBC's Smash by 11% (3.8).

· With a record-setting 5.46 million viewer jump (11.25 million to 16.71 million) and a 2.7 ratings build (4.7 to 7.4) over its initial numbers, Modern Family topped the charts for its 13th straight original telecast in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. · With Modern Family (8.0 rating) and Grey's Anatomy (5.3), ABC claims this season's #1 scripted series/comedy and #1 drama, respectively, in the key young adult demo based on original telecasts. In fact, the ABC sitcom is the season's #2 program overall in Adults 18-49 (tied with NBC's Sunday Night Football), behind only NBC's Super Bowl-boosted The Voice (9.4).
