NFL ON FOX COMPLETES THIRD MOST-WATCHED SEASON EVER

AMERICA'S GAME OF THE WEEK is No. 1 Show in Television

New York - The NFL on FOX juggernaut continues.

Boosted by an exceptional performance on the season's final Sunday (12/30), the 19th NFL on FOX regular-season broadcast schedule finished strong, ranking as the network's third most-watched ever, according to fast national figures compiled by Nielsen Media Research. In fact, as a clear sign of the NFL on FOX's continued television strength, the last four seasons have been FOX's most-watched since first broadcasting the sport in 1994. Over those four seasons, the NFL on FOX has averaged 19.75 million viewers compared to 16.6 million over the four years prior (2005-2008), a gain of 19%, or over three million average viewers per game. The NFL on FOX averaged an 11.8/23 household rating/share in 2012 with 19.7 million viewers, tying 2010 as the second highest-rated season since 1995. Since that year, only 2011 rated higher (12.0), and only the last two seasons averaged slightly larger audiences (20.11 million in 2010 and 20.096 million in 2011).

"The NFL on FOX is coming off its highest-rated season since 1995, its third straight showing year-to-year growth and this season's ratings continue to be exceptionally strong," said Eric Shanks, FOX Sports Media Group Co-President and CEO. "Look no further than the fact that AMERICA'S GAME OF THE WEEK on FOX has been the No. 1 show in all of television for four straight years."

The season concluded Sunday with AMERICA'S GAME OF THE WEEK, FOX's national game on doubleheader Sundays, which was led by the Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings, posting a 15.3/27, with 26.4 million viewers, +32% over last year's Week 17 AGOTW (11.6/23, 19.6 million). It ranks as FOX's best Week 17 rating in 10 years. FOX's early game averaged a 9.0/19, with 14.7 million viewers, doubling a year ago (4.5/8, 7.7 million).

On the season, AMERICA'S GAME OF THE WEEK on FOX posted a 14.8/26, averaging 24.8 million viewers, and season-to-date is the highest-rated, most-watched program on television. It out-distances Sunday Night Football on NBC by 16% and CBS's national game by at least 5% once final ratings are released Monday. FOX's national game is No. 1 across all key male and adult demographic categories, including Men 18-34, Men 18-49, Men 25-54, and Adults 18-49.

In addition to AMERICA'S GAME OF THE WEEK being the nation's No. 1 show in every major demographic category, FOX's entire NFC package - all 27 exposures including doubleheaders, singleheaders and Thanksgiving - earned a higher average household rating than every entertainment program in primetime but one. CBS's NCIS (13.2/20) is the only entertainment program in the fourth quarter to out-rate the NFL on FOX (11.8/23). The entire NFC package also out-rated every entertainment show in primetime among Men 18-34, Men 18-49, Men 25-54, Adults 18-34, and Adults 18-49, while trailing only CBS's Big Bang Theory among Adults 25-54 (7.9 vs. 8.2).
