"Million Second Quiz" Wins 8 p.m. Hour on Big 4, Is #2 for the Night Among Those Nets
NBC spins the numbers for Monday, September 9.

"The Million Second Quiz" (1.7/5 at 8 p.m.) wins the hour in 18-49, total viewers, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key measures among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

Is the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in 18-49 and total viewers behind only "Under the Dome."

Matches NBC's best rating in the slot since the Stanley Cup Finals on June 24 in a slot where NBC has been running strong original programming all summer long.

Note big sports competition last night from two ESPN "Monday Night Football" games.

"The Million Second Quiz" equaled NBC's best rating in the slot since the Stanley Cup Finals on June 24 in a slot where NBC has been running strong original programming all summer long. It's also NBC's biggest overall audience in the time period since June 24. Note there was major sports competition last night from two ESPN "Monday Night Football" games and the Men's Final of Tennis' U.S. Open.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.3/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.8/5, delayed by primetime overrun; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3, delayed by primetime overrun; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4, delayed by primetime overrun). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2, delayed by primetime overrun).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
