Friday's Broadcast Ratings: Pac-12 Football Championship Pulls FOX in Front

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/5/14):

FOX (5.073 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) snagged the top demo spot on Friday with its coverage of the "PAC-12 Championship Game" (5.073 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2).

ABC (6.348 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then claimed the silver with originals from "Last Man Standing" (6.613 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Cristela" (4.676 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7), "Shark Tank" (7.127 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and "20/20" (6.273 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3).

Next up was CBS (5.808 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) with its mix of "The Amazing Race" (6.168 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "A Very Grammy Christmas" (4.649 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9) and a repeat "Blue Bloods" (6.607 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.898 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) served up its special "How Murray Saves Christmas" (3.604 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7) followed by new episodes of "Grimm" (4.961 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6) and "Constantine" (3.129 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9).

And finally, a new "America's Next Top Model" (1.196 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) led into the season finale of "America's Next Top Model" (1.136 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) on The CW (1.165 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said duo posted a 0.4 and 0.5 rating, respectively.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.6/5 in metered-market households and a 0.6/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/3 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/2 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (12/6/13):

ABC (5.950 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T1) was the most-watched network on Friday with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.340 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5), "The Neighbors" (4.308 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #11), "Shark Tank" (7.458 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and "20/20" (5.067 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8).

NBC (5.826 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T1) however shared the demo honors with originals from "Dateline NBC" (7.297 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5), "Grimm" (6.377 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T2) and "Dracula" (3.804 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8).

Next up was CBS (5.689 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3) with encores of "Frosty the Snowman" (6.684 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T2), "Yes, Virginia" (5.651 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.611 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) plus the new special "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night" (5.290 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8).
