Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC, CBS Split Top Demo Spot

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/12/15):

CBS (8.986 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T1) was the most-watched network on Thursday with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (15.286 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.8, #1), "Life in Pieces" (9.500 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2), "Mom" (8.571 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T5), the return of "2 Broke Girls" (7.681 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T5) and "Elementary" (6.440 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #9).

ABC (7.457 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T1) then shared in the demo honors with its trio of "Grey's Anatomy" (7.988 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T3), "Scandal" (7.697 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T3) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (6.687 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.9, #7).

Next up was NBC (4.612 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and new episodes from "Heroes Reborn" (3.753 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T10), "The Blacklist" (6.674 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #8) and "The Player" (3.409 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #13).

Meanwhile, FOX (4.083 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Bones" (5.139 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T10) and "Sleepy Hollow" (3.026 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12).

And finally, new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (1.317 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #14) and "The Originals" (0.996 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #15) on The CW (1.157 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/13/14):

ABC (9.159 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1) was the demo champ on Thursday thanks to new episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" (8.287 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.4, #5), "Scandal" (9.976 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.2, #2) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (9.216 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.9, #3).

CBS (9.866 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2) then took home the silver with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (17.070 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.5, #1), "Mom" (11.839 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.8, #4), "Two and a Half Men" (9.451 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.2, #6), "The McCarthys" (6.940 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7) and "Elementary" (6.949 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T8).

Next up was FOX (4.471 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) with fresh installments of "Bones" (5.510 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T8) and "Gracepoint" (3.432 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.704 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) served up originals from "The Biggest Loser" (4.452 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T8), "Bad Judge" (3.692 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12), "A to Z" (2.354 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15) and "Parenthood" (3.637 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #11).

And finally, new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (1.558 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14) and "Reign" (1.209 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.4, #16) closed out the evening on The CW (1.383 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Diaries" delivered a 1.2 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Reign" a 0.6 rating at 9:00/8:00c.
