Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers, Shares Demo Crown with ABC

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/15/16):

CBS (8.006 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1) was the most-watched network on Friday with its trio of "The Amazing Race" (5.536 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8), "Hawaii Five-0" (8.324 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) and "Blue Bloods" (10.159 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1).

ABC (5.404 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1) however shared in the top demo honors with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.351 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3), "Dr. Ken" (4.783 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5), "Shark Tank" (5.595 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) and "20/20" (5.051 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5).

Next up was NBC (3.885 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and its combination of "Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" (3.403 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11), "Grimm" (3.863 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10) and "Dateline NBC" (4.390 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.428 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) offered up an encore "Hell's Kitchen" (1.864 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12) and a new "Hell's Kitchen" (2.992 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).

And finally, fresh installments from "The Vampire Diaries" (1.165 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13) and "The Originals" (0.954 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14) on The CW (1.059 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

ABC (5.950 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) claimed the top spot on Friday thanks to the season finales of "Last Man Standing" (6.206 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) and "Cristela" (4.926 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8) plus new episodes of "Shark Tank" (6.458 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) and "20/20" (5.827 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

CBS (5.586 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) then claimed the silver with new episodes of "The Amazing Race" (5.519 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3), another "The Amazing Race" (5.373 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5) and a repeat "Blue Bloods" (5.866 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10).

Next up was NBC (4.778 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) and its mix of a new "Grimm" (4.548 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5), a repeat "Dateline NBC" (4.552 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9) and a new "Dateline NBC" (5.234 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.161 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up the feature "Bad Teacher" (2.161 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10).

And finally, The CW (1.076 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening with the launch of its lineup of "Cedric's Barber Battle" (0.826 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14), "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.109 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and "The Messengers" (1.184 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.1, 0.2 and 0.1 rating, respectively.
