Monday's Broadcast Ratings: "The Voice" Holds Off "DWTS" Return in 18-49

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/20/17):

NBC (8.685 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) was back on top in adults 18-49 on Monday with new episodes of "The Voice" (10.607 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) and "Taken" (4.841 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5).

ABC (9.174 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then was the silver draw with the return of "Dancing with the Stars" (11.936 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) and "Quantico" (3.649 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9).

Next up was CBS (5.640 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with originals from "Kevin Can Wait" (5.947 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3), "Man with a Plan" (5.393 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5), "Superior Donuts" (5.267 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5), "2 Broke Girls" (4.611 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5) and "Scorpion" (6.310 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.078 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up fresh installments of "24: Legacy" (3.261 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9) and "APB" (2.895 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #11).

And finally, new episodes of "Supergirl" (2.023 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12) and "Jane the Virgin" (0.904 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) rounded out the night for The CW (1.463 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (3/21/16):

NBC (9.354 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) held onto the top demo spot on Monday with its duo of "The Voice" (10.987 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) and "Blindspot" (6.087 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3).

The silver then went to ABC (10.446 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) with the return of "Dancing with the Stars" (12.350 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) and a new "Castle" (6.640 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9).

Next up was CBS (7.743 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) and its trio of "Supergirl" (6.026 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5), "Scorpion" (8.549 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (8.655 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.807 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Gotham" (3.853 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5) and "Lucifer" (3.761 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8).

And finally, originals from "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.749 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #11) and "Jane the Virgin" (0.770 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #10) on The CW (0.759 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.
