Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/9/18):

NBC (7:30-11pm) (17.778 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.9, #1) was the network to beat on Sunday with the formal return of "Football Night in America #1" (6.240 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6), "Football Night in America #2" (9.164 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.9, #5), "Football Night in America #3" (17.279 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 5.6, #3) and "Sunday Night Football" (19.600 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.6, #1).

FOX (7.085 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2) then was a distant second with its own "NFL Overrun" (17.897 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 5.7, #2) followed by "The OT" (13.254 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 4.4, #4), a special preview of "Rel" (5.054 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.7, #7) plus repeats of "The Simpsons" (2.656 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9), "Bob's Burgers" (1.982 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11) and "Family Guy" (1.666 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13).

Next up was CBS (4.701 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and its lineup of "60 Minutes" (7.087 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10), "Big Brother 20" (5.693 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #8), "Hawaii Five-0" (2.942 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #16) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (3.084 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #17).

And finally, repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.010 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13) and "Celebrity Family Feud" (4.124 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11) alongside "The 2019 Miss America Competition" (4.307 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13) on ABC (4.187 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) rounded out the evening.
