Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Election Night in Viewers, Demos

Here are the highlights of the seven ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/6/18):

NBC (5.748 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was the top draw on Election Night with its full night of "The Vote: America's Future" (5.748 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1).

ABC (5.245 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was a close second with its own coverage of "ABC News 2018 Midterm Election" (5.245 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

Next up was CBS (4.252 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its presentation of "CBS News: Campaign 2018" (4.252 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.774 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) served up new episodes from "The Gifted" (2.386 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and "Lethal Weapon" (3.161 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4).

And finally, The CW (0.900 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) opted for repeats of "The Flash" (1.007 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.3, #6) and "Black Lightning" (0.793 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.2, #7) to round out the evening.

Absent the World Series, NBC (7.746 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was back on top Tuesday with its mix of "The Voice" (9.374 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2), "This Is Us" (9.775 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) and "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders" (4.091 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).

CBS (11.029 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then took home the silver with originals from "NCIS" (13.302 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3), "Bull" (10.675 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (9.111 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7).

Next up was ABC (3.590 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its lineup of "The Middle" (5.589 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.687 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7), "Black-ish" (3.748 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6), "The Mayor" (2.688 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #12) and "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" (2.913 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.
