Friday's Broadcast Ratings: Repeats Top Demos for ABC

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/17/20):

ABC (4.161 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) was still the network to beat on Friday despite its all-repeat lineup of "Shark Tank" (4.363 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) and "20/20" (4.061 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1).

A close second was CBS (6.294 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) with new episodes of "MacGyver" (6.348 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) and "Magnum P.I." (6.932 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) plus a repeat "Blue Bloods" (5.603 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

Sharing the silver was FOX (2.192 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) and its weekly "WWE SmackDown" (2.192 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.486 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up a new "The Blacklist" (4.832 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5), a repeat "The Blacklist" (2.321 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #9) and "Dateline NBC" (3.304 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

And finally, originals from "Charmed" (0.651 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #10) and "Dynasty" (0.320 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #11) rounded out the night on The CW (0.486 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).

ABC (2.652 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) claimed the adults 18-49 crown on Friday thanks to its primetime coverage of "NBA Countdown" (2.234 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7) and the "NBA Playoffs: Boston at Indiana" (2.736 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2).

CBS (4.571 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) then was the most-watched network with its mix of "I Love Lucy Funny Money Special" (4.442 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #6), "Hawaii Five-0" (3.990 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7) and "Blue Bloods" (5.279 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7).

Next up was NBC (3.703 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) with originals from "Blindspot" (3.050 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7), "The Blacklist" (4.005 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "Dateline NBC" (4.054 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.054 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) served up new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (4.731 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1), "The Cool Kids" (3.518 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "Proven Innocent" (1.984 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7).

And finally, The CW (1.036 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night with the return of "Dynasty" (1.064 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) plus a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.973 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) and a second "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.045 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/2; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 with an encore in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
