'MR. MAYOR' IMPROVES NBC THURSDAY TIMESLOT AT BOTH 8 AND 8:30 P.M.
NBC IS #2 IN TOTAL VIEWERS AMONG BIG 4 NETS
NBC premiered its new comedy "Mr. Mayor" with back-to-back episodes last night.
From 8-8:30 p.m., the episode drew a 0.6 in 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers.
From 8:30-9 p.m., the episode drew a 0.5 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers.
The 0.6 in the 8 p.m. episode represents the best NBC comedy premiere in 18-49 since 2018.
The 4.9 million viewers represents the best NBC comedy premiere in total viewers since 2017.
The 8 p.m. episode tied CBS' "Young Sheldon" in 18-49 and outperformed both "Young Sheldon" and Fox's season premiere of "Hell's Kitchen" in total viewers.
The 8:30 p.m. episode outperformed CBS' "B Positive" and "Hell's Kitchen" in total viewers.
NOTE: "Mr. Mayor" will see extensive increases with digital and VOD viewing.
From 9-10 p.m., "Law & Order: SVU" drew a 0.6 in 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers
The telecast beat both CBS comedies ("Mom," "The Unicorn") in the timeslot in 18-49 and total viewers and drew more total viewers that the time period premieres of Fox's "Call Me Kat" and "Last Man Standing."
From 10-11 p.m., "Dateline NBC" drew a 0.3 in 18-49 and 1.8 million viewers.
The telecast outperformed an original episode of CBS' "Star Trek: Discovery" in both 18-49 and total viewers.
