Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers, Splits Demo Crown with NBC

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/9/21):

CBS (7.684 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) was the top draw on Tuesday with its usual trio of "NCIS" (9.552 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2), "FBI" (7.463 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and "FBI: Most Wanted" (6.036 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

NBC (4.947 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) shared in the demo honors with its lineup of a repeat "The Voice" (3.975 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4), a special new "The Voice" (6.698 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) and an original "New Amsterdam" (4.167 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

Next up was FOX (2.305 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #3) with a new "The Resident" (3.394 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and a rebroadcast of "Name That Tune" (1.215 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.139 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T4) offered up its mix of "To Tell the Truth" (3.501 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7), repeats of "Black-ish" (1.762 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "Mixed-ish" (1.422 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) plus "Soul of a Nation" (1.325 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14).

And finally, originals from "The Flash" (0.991 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "Superman & Lois" (1.235 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) rounded out the night on The CW (1.113 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T4).

The silver went to NBC (4.819 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) and its trio of "Ellen's Game of Games" (4.409 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4), "This Is Us" (5.576 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) and "New Amsterdam" (4.471 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7).

Next up was CBS (8.279 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with new episodes of "NCIS" (10.428 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3), "FBI" (8.329 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5) and "FBI: Most Wanted" (6.079 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.827 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up fresh installments of "The Resident" (3.668 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7) and "Empire" (1.987 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).
