ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' IS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

'Nightline' Posts Week-to-Week Gains in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, Drawing Its Largest Overall Audience in 4 Weeks

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (847,000) and Adults 25-54 (199,000) during the week of Oct. 24, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" also beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 18-49.

"Nightline" posted week-to-week gains in Total Viewers (+10% - 847,000 vs. 769,000), Adults 25-54 (+4% - 199,000 vs. 192,000) and Adults 18-49 (+7% - 146,000 vs. 136,000), drawing its largest overall audience in 4 weeks - since w/o 9/26/22.

For the 2nd week in a row, "Nightline" grew in Total Viewers year to year (+7% - 867,000 vs. 788,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+10% - 895,000 vs. 816,000), Adults 25-54 (+7% - 233,000 vs. 217,000) and Adults 18-49 (+14% - 168,000 vs. 148,000). In addition, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

This week "Nightline" covered a new episode of "IMPACT x Nightline," "The Bodies of Lake Mead"; Adidas' termination of its multibillion-dollar relationship with Kanye West over his antisemitic tirades; two high-profile Hollywood rape cases taking place doors apart in Los Angeles: disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and actor Danny Masterson separately charged with sexually assaulting multiple women; the public administrator, Robert Telles, trial in Las Vegas, who allegedly stabbed veteran journalist Jeff German; Jamie Lee Curtis on her final appearance as Laurie Strode in "Halloween Ends"; Elizabeth Banks on her role in "Call Jane"; Hillary Swank on the new ABC hit drama "Alaska Daily"; Sam Heughan on his new memoir "Waypoints" on the success of "Outlander" and the pressure he felt that led him to what he calls "a low-level eating disorder" and more.

NOTE: On Friday (10/28/22), CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "Late Late Show-JC-ENC." The retitled telecast is excluded from the weekly and season averages. For the week, NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" due to being repeats. The retitled telecasts are excluded from the season averages.
