ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (737,000), Adults 25-54 (135,000) and Adults 18-49 (203,000) during the week of May 15, 2023, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

For the second week in a row, "Nightline" improved on the previous week in Adults 25-54 (+17% - 203,000 vs. 174,000) and Adults 18-49 (+15% - 135,000 vs. 117,000).

"Nightline" saw year-to-year increases in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+2% - 737,000 vs. 721,000), Adults 25-54 (+17% - 203,000 vs. 173,000) and Adults 18-49 (+12% - 135,000 vs. 121,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+4% - 902,000 vs. 869,000). In addition, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in all key target demos.

This week, "Nightline" covered the deadly Buffalo supermarket shooting one year later; co-anchor Byron Pitts' exclusive interview with the great aunt of Jordan Neely in the wake of his death on a New York City subway; the story of several survivors from the new ABC News Studios documentary "Prisoners of the Snow"; Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent's advocacy work for reform in the family court system; rising rates of eating disorders; Halle Bailey taking on the iconic role of Princess Ariel in Disney's "The Little Mermaid"; the latest episode of "Impact x Nightline," which explored the lucrative and at times controversial industry of mom-influencing and more.

NOTE: CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "The Late Late Show-JC-ENC" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM." The retitled telecasts are excluded from the season averages.
