ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49 VS. CBS' 'AFTER MIDNIGHT' AND NBC'S 'LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS'

'Nightline' Posts Double-Digit Gains Week to Week Across the Board, Hitting a 6-Week High in Overall Viewers and 7-Week Highs in Both Key Adult Demos

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (879,000), Adults 25-54 (200,000) and Adults 18-49 (131,000) for the week of Nov. 18, 2024, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

· "Nightline" posted double-digit gains week to week across the board: Total Viewers (+11% - 879,000 vs. 790,000), Adults 25-54 (+50% - 200,000 vs. 133,000) and Adults 18-49 (+79% - 131,000 vs. 79,000), hitting a 6-week high in overall viewers and 7-week highs in both key Adult demos - since weeks of 10/7/24 and 9/30/24, respectively.

· This week, "Nightline" covered former U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz's fitness to serve as attorney general, in part because of a House Ethics Committee investigation; Jose Ibarra, convicted murderer of Laken Riley, sentenced to life without parole; the recent home robberies of NFL players; Susan Smith's denied parole, 30 years after killing her two young sons; the social media firestorm over free-range kids; Chad Michael Murray in Netflix's "The Merry Gentlemen"; "Wicked" aiming for authentic disability representation on screen; "Impact x Nightline"'s latest episode "Cracks in the Crown: Miss Universe in Crisis?" and more.

NOTE: On Friday (11/22/24), CBS' "After Midnight" was retitled to "After Midnight-ENC" and NBC's "Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" due to being repeats. The repeat telecasts are excluded from season averages. CBS' and NBC's weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
