[08/12/11 - 08:28 AM] Video: A Few Minutes With... "So You Think You Can Dance's" Second Runner-Up Following Last Night's Finale By Jim Halterman (TFC)
Last night the eighth season of FOX's dance competition series "So You Think You Can Dance" came to a close when, with over 11 million votes cast last night, the title of America's Favorite Dancer (as well as $250,000, a Gatorade G Series Fit sponsorship and the cover of Dance Spirit Magazine) was awarded to one of the final Top 4 dancers. Tonight's two-hour season finale featured the return of the Top 20 dancers that started the season as well as the best dance numbers seen in season eight.
Presiding over the proceedings were judge Mary Murphy, judge/executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, choreographers Lil' C, Sonya Tayeh, Tyce Diorio and Robin Antin and guest judge (who appeared earlier in the season) Jesse Tyler Ferguson from "Modern Family." Our Jim Halterman, who has been present at the live tapings all season, grabbed a few minutes after the winner was announced with Lythgoe, Murphy and Lil'C as well as America's favorite dancer and the three runners up.
