Argentina, 1985 está inspirada en la historia real de los fiscales Julio Strassera y Luis Moreno Ocampo, que en 1985 se atrevieron a investigar y llevar a juicio a la dictadura militar más sangrienta de la historia argentina. Sin dejarse intimidar por la todavía considerable influencia militar en la nueva y frágil democracia, Strassera y Moreno Ocampo reunieron un joven equipo jurídico de inesperados héroes para su batalla de David contra Goliat. Bajo amenaza constante sobre ellos y sus familias, corrieron contra el tiempo para hacer justicia por las víctimas de la junta militar.
Santiago Mitre dirige el filme, quien también ha estado a cargo del guion junto a Mariano Llinás y cuenta con un reparto estelar encabezado por Ricardo Darín, Julio Strassera, Peter Lanzani y Luis Moreno Ocampo.
El film fue premiado en el Festival de Venecia con el Premio de la Federación Internacional de la Prensa Cinematográfica (Fipresci) y ha ganado el Premio del Público del Festival de San Sebastián con una nota de 9,14 sobre 10. Además, el pasado lunes 26 de septiembre se anunció que será la candidata al Oscar por Argentina.

Argentina, 1985 is inspired by the true story of prosecutors Julio Strassera and Luis Moreno Ocampo, who in 1985 dared to investigate and prosecute the bloodiest military dictatorship in Argentine history. Undeterred by the still considerable military influence in the fragile new democracy, Strassera and Moreno Ocampo assembled a young legal team of unlikely heroes for their David vs. Goliath battle. Under constant threat to themselves and their families, they ran against time to do justice for the victims of the military junta.
Santiago Miter directs the film, who has also been in charge of the script along with Mariano Llinás and has a stellar cast led by Ricardo Darín, Julio Strassera, Peter Lanzani and Luis Moreno Ocampo.
The film was awarded at the Venice Festival with the Prize of the International Federation of Cinematographic Press (Fipresci) and has won the Audience Award at the San Sebastian Festival with a score of 9.14 out of 10. In addition, last Monday On September 26, it was announced that she would be the candidate for the Oscar for Argentina.
