Hot New Drama from Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage ("The O.C.") Moves One Week Earlier Following "America's Next Top Model" Premiere
August 6, 2007 (Burbank, CA) - The CW Network's highly anticipated new drama GOSSIP GIRL will make its debut on Wednesday, September 19 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), one week earlier than previously announced, it was announced today by Dawn Ostroff, President, Entertainment, The CW.
Following the premiere of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, GOSSIP GIRL comes from "The O.C." producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and based on the New York Times best-selling young-adult book series of the same name. The show features an ensemble cast of new and veteran actors, including Blake Lively ("The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants") and Leighton Meester ("Surface"), and focuses on the struggle for social supremacy among teens from both sides of the tracks in a posh Manhattan prep school.
