TAKE THIS JOB AND LOVE IT! YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMPETE FOR THEIR DREAM JOB IN OXYGENS NEWEST REALITY SERIES, MAKING IT BIG

Award Winning Advertising and Entertainment Executive Linda Kaplan Thaler Hosts the Six-Part Series Premiering Monday, April 25 at 8:00 PM*

NEW YORK, March 21, 2005 They know theyre good. But are they great? Oxygen chronicles young professionals in the quest for their ultimate dream job in its newest reality series, Making It Big, hosted by Madison Avenue branding guru, Linda Kaplan Thaler. In each episode of the six-part series premiering Monday, April 25 at 8:00 p.m., three up-and-coming professionals face off in a pressure-filled challenge in their field, the ultimate test of their talent and professionalism for their chance at the brass ring an opportunity to work for an expert in their industry.

Each episode of Making It Big features an industry expert who acts as the client while judges observe how the contestants handle their challenge considering not only the finished product, but their management style, their ability to produce under pressure, their judgment, talent and potential to hit the big leagues. A legend in each profession, or the icon, will follow the contestants from behind the scenes, consult the judges and act as the mentor to the winner. Kaplan Thaler, the creative mind behind the AFLAC duck, the Clairol Herbal Essences organic experience and the classic I dont want to grow up, Im a Toys R Us Kid campaigns, acts as the young professionals Making It Bigwig and guides them through their trial by fire. To really test their grace under pressure, each contestant will be thrown a roadblock in the middle of the episode, i.e., an unexpected ingredient, a missing support team member or a broken piece of equipment.

The six episodes will feature aspiring chefs, choreographers, hairstylists, fashion designers, wedding planners and entertainment reporters resulting with an apprenticeship with the icon. The icons involved in the series include Chef Daniel Boulud, designer Cynthia Steffe, entertainment reporter Dayna Devon, music video choreographer Jamie King, and event planner Sharon Sacks.

We love the shows optimistic sentiment granting a dream to the most talented, hardest working individual, with no ill intentions towards the contestants, said Debby Beece, President of Programming, Oxygen. Simply put: its reality that doesnt bite.

"I am thrilled to be a part of this refreshingly honest look at how women conduct business," said Kaplan Thaler. "Helping these talented and driven professionals achieve their true goals in life - success in their chosen careers - is attainable with the right nurturing and mentoring."

Linda Kaplan Thaler, the shows host/judge, has been responsible for some of the most touching, relevant, and famous commercials during her twenty-four years in the advertising and entertainment business. She is acclaimed within the industry for her innovative and topical approach. Much of her work has become part of the American pop-culture landscape. Today, Linda is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Creative Officer of The Kaplan Thaler Group, Ltd., which she founded in 1997. She is also the co-author with Robin Koval of the highly-acclaimed BANG! Getting Your Message Heard In A Noisy World.
